Mine won’t kneel if I open the door as soon as I put it in park. Nobody would ever do that. /s
Sunday I noticed the 35.0 update may have changed this. The truck continued to kneel after my wife opened the door. Not sure if that was a one-off experience.

Confirmed it’s the pitch of the spot on my driveway. Works elsewhere. Now I just need to understand this auto height thing, that can’t be good for the truck?

That should not happen, keep an eye on it, if it continues open a ticket. It is designed not to lower when doors are open to prevent lowering the doors on an object like a high curb or rock.

I don’t think it is a huge concern for health of the truck. My older Jeep GC had air suspension that auto lowered at speed, had it almost 10 years and never had an issue with the suspension.

Yes, I figured this out recently. Thought we had an issue like OP at first. You gotta let the vehicle lower before you open the door. Should take a couple of seconds unless you had it at the highest setting.

Haven't noticed this yet. Sounds like that could be dangerous?

There's a few threads on it. It's apparently because Rivian tested the truck in auto height mode for the EPA test and there's some regulation that says vehicles have to be reset to those settings frequently.

I wouldn't say it's bad for the suspension, but it's really annoying. Along with kicking performance trim models out of sport mode, it's what grates on me the most since it would otherwise be avoidable with a small software update.
