I was leaving town for over a month and made the choice to leave my R1T plugged in. The charge setting is for 50 percent. Truck was charged at 50 when I left. I set the charging to start at midnight. Every morning my app is indicating the vehicle has been charging for sometimes hours but it shows charged to 49% always. This is very confusing any thoughts or ideas what is going on here. Other then next time not leaving it plugged in.

Nothing wrong. The app sometimes conflates 'plugged in' with 'charging' so the charge time is inaccurate but it sounds like you are being topped up properly.

Agree: initially when I would look at charge data, I’d think it took xx hours to charge, but in reality it seems to start the clock at charging schedule time, then count the entire time it’s plugged in.

in reality, vehicle topped off in 2-3 hours, not the 8-9 it was plugged in

TezLab does a better job of reporting this than the Rivian does. It knows the difference between "plugged in" and "charging".
