Yeah they are all over the place with that. The whole self drive thing just creeps me out. It would be much easier flying as with 3 dimensions and the only thing that can be hit is other aircraft it's easier to program the computer.

Mine even shows people walking on the sidewalk. I wouldn't be too surprised if it starts showing dogs on the sidewalk.

Rivian in terms of self driving.
Seeing as the primary goal of self driving is to "Not Crash", at least an obstacle is detected. I don't think self driving software will really have different behavior depending on what the type of vehicle is, so even if it thought it was a pedestrian going at 45 MPH, it'd still work ?

Does anyone know who provides the hardware and software for Rivian's driving assistance solution?

I should add, I took picture of the electronics that Munro had after they took apart their R1T. I think it had a Qualcomm for one of them. But nothing seemed significant enough to do any higher levels of driver assistance. I could share the picture though.

fair, but what about the extra car here? ? Don’t expect auto lane change anytime soon with gaps filled with ghost cars

I laugh about it all the time, my favorite is when it shows a bicyclist and then when they start moving the animation shows them pedaling

Maybe the ghost cars are there to prepare us for Halloween mode. :)

Self driving is for wimps. Rivian is making us all Men and Women again.

I'm pretty sure it's at least 130 miles for me! I think that's a long way to go for self driving.

Teslas system makes mistakes too. Rivian will not be self driving. Its an ADAS and ill be happy if they add auto lane change.
