Unless the number of orders jumps significantly once people start seeing these on the road. One of the early non employee owners said it is unbelievable how many people stop to talk, take pictures, etc... That will lead to orders.Honestly you can just wait until the beginning of 2023 and get one for MSRP or less. Buying one second hand in the next 6 months would be a horrible decision.
Assuming Rivian catches up by early 2023 there will be plenty of Rivians available on lots. Like all EVs people will buy it without being prepared for owning an electric car and trade it in shortly after.
Next 6-8 months? Bad decision.
Whenever Rivian catches up and there are 5k+ cars on the road? Easy to find a lightly used R1T.
