Manual tonneau covers update by Rivian

I raised hell with my Guide and CS for tonneau covers shipping to recent Apr-Jun deliveries, when many of us with late 2022 deliveries are drawing the short straw.

Hopefully others chimed in on this, and Rivian changes their strategy on distribution.

We’ll I think the initial distributions were a mistake so I wouldn’t be too quick to raise hell.

I have not received an email yet. I took delivery Dec. 2022, with the pre-ordered manual cover. I haven't heard a thing. In San Diego.

does anyone know how much clearance their is under the manual cover so I can determine what 12v fridge to buy? (does the cover go lower than the tracks)

From another user in another forum reported 17" from the top of the rib on the bed to the underside of the cover. Allow another 1/8" for the metal reinforcement strip and screws on the underside. They seem to line up with the groove part of the bed... 16" will be fine.

I just received an e-mail today, (8/29), that my manual tonneau cover has shipped. I took delivery of my R1T December 22. Looking forward to it finally arriving. I'm in the Dallas area.

I received a UPS notification that a package from Rivian will arrive tomorrow (8/30), but I’m not sure what it is. UPS says shipment weight is 8.5 pounds, which sounds light for the tonneau cover, IMO. I also recently ordered the tailgate bike pad, which lists at 5 pounds so maybe my shipment is the bike pad.

Anyone have an item or shipping weight connected to the manual tonneau cover?

Shipping weight was just over 40lbs for the manual tonneau.

UPS has the shipping weight at 44 pounds for the tonneau cover. I think you are getting the tailgate pad.
