I, for one, don't buy into the end of quarter rush theory. I think they are trying to move as quickly as possible on production and deliveries at all times and the "surge" we saw was them getting that initial backlog of vehicles that they stockpiled before the price change out the door.I have a feeling nobody new will get contacted until the current end of quarter push is over and the dust settles, aside from maybe a handful of last minute cancellations. So probably not until next week or later will there be any real movement again.
They still technically have 3 months to meet all of our (and earlier) promise windows. End of June is the end of next quarter so I suspect Rivian will do everything they can to make that happen.
Personally I'm hoping to take delivery anytime before Memorial Day weekend as that's really the first time camping in the Rockies is worth it. Would be nice to get it any earlier to allow time for PPF install etc. before taking it on it's maiden voyage. A man can dream...
I also suspect at some point in the next quarter, deliveries will start of OC and FE interiors as well as R1S. Any delay beyond that would not look good.
Time will tell but there will be batch slowdowns when they add OC and FE interiors, add remaining exterior colors and start producing the R1S. You're also overlooking continued supply chain constraints which is why stockpiling allowed them to push seemingly so many R1Ts out this month in particular. It doesn't matter if they are working out kinks in production if they don't have the necessary supplies to increase their production rate.I, for one, don't buy into the end of quarter rush theory. Where I live in San Diego, I now see at least one and as high as 3 different Rivians driving around every day and I personally know 2 people that received theirs in the last 14 days (I am still in shock that, as an early 2019 order, I'll be the 3rd - or later - parent at my son's school). Deliveries are happening all over the place and will continue to. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they are approaching that 200 per week number they cited currently.
That was me and it’s real, but only as real as Rivian’s follow-through on what they say. If it doesn’t happen by Friday, you can say I’m full of it.Not holding my breath. Fully expecting I won't get guide contact until at least the first week of May.
Sucks, have my work team coming up to Seattle first week of May and they're super excited about the truck. Was hoping to show it off and take them offroading. Already told them there's a <1% chance that happens at this point.
Someone in another thread claimed they have some inside information indicating communications on interiors will be coming soon. Not sure I believe it, but expecting if it does happen the news will not be good for FE holders.
They are delivering adventure trims now. People have posted pics with the adventure badging instead of LE.Color isn't your issue. They're only delivering LE's right now, and have stated adventure deliveries don't start until later this year. That's why a few of us are a bit miffed that a non-LE holder in this thread has a guide when so many of us LE holders do not.
Yes, I became aware of this after my post. Note that it's nearly a week old at this point and the first confirmed Adventure delivery on this forum was the next day...They are delivering adventure trims now. People have posted pics with the adventure badging instead of LE.
