well, most recent R1T guy's is OC and at least one other R1S in OC had guide contact and I think there were two reported R1S's with OC. Plus multiple people told by CS reps they've seen OC coming off the production line. From everything that I've read trying to keep pace on topic, there's nobody with vehicle (T or S) configured with FE green interior with a guide/confirmed/locked config. I'd love to be wrong about that, of course.

Spoke to the guide this evening, super nice guy, like others have said it is really an introduction call where they want to confirm your configured vehicle. I asked about OC, his answer was similar to others, wouldn’t commit to having seen any come off the line but assured me that it would be ready in the delivery window (same answer for FE). He was very clear in saying that there were no known issues with supply and that it would not be delayed. I asked if it mattered what home I had it delivered to, it didn’t seem to matter to him, said it was “6 of one 1/2 doz of the other.” I asked him about who does the order allocation, he said that was some department he had never met. Interestingly he did say if someone had to push back delivery or decided not to take delivery, that those VINs get emailed out to the guides and they can snap them up if they have people with the same specs. He used this as a way of saying that it could be sooner than the actual delivery window. Probably how some have gotten calls about switching to BM also. He asked if I had any big trips planned that would require us to schedule around delivery, I told him I would reschedule them if I did. ?

Overall, we had a pleasant talk and it felt good to have some contact with the company. He gave me a lot of his own personal background which really helped humanize the whole experience.

I still don't understand the delivery windows. I see that @diz ordered in March of 2019 and I ordered in August of 2020 and we have the same window (I thought I had it wrong, but I went back and double chedked my email).

So the May-June window covers 18 months of orders?

I think the answer is "sort of". Rivian said LE's would get priority delivery, though SC location, supply chain, etc could change that. The survey results from last year indicated the May June was still almost all LE R1's, only a few Adventure/Explore trims. I would expect that if Rivian can get the right raw materials, we will continue to see mostly LE R1's being delivered, even though they were ordered later, sometimes much later, than some adventure/explore models. Order date seems to matter some, but the LE trim is more the controlling factor. Unfortunately, Rivian hasn't been transparent of their actual priortization method, so I'm not too comfortable with this prediction.

Based on the polls there were very few orders relatively speaking until sept 21. And thats not taking into consideration that early orders are more likely to be on forums to answer the polls.

based on the analysis of the orders, interior choice did push out delivery windows. diz has OC you have BM.

I want to see what Launch Green looks like with the greenish Forest Edge, also want to see LG with the 'grey' black mountain (such a bad initial experience ;-)). I'm skeptical of the OC looking off white enough to not have wear, but I'm scared by Tesla. I had black seats and it was too black, always losing things. The grey black mountain will probably win me over.

They are delivering adventure trims now. People have posted pics with the adventure badging instead of LE.
These Adventure series truck deliveries may be happening for a good reason.

For clarification, I placed an early Adventure trim preorder in Dec 2019. No, I haven't got my truck yet, but I don't find it unusual or unfair to see the occasional early Adventure series preordered truck now getting delivered...even before some LE preorders?

As I understand the preorder process, Rivian accepted LE R1T Truck preorders from 2018 until Nov 2020, when LE Preorders were filled. But I also remember during the same time period, beside my own preorder, there were many others preordering Adventure and Explore series trucks.

So it makes sense that there a probably lots of other non-LE customers, like myself, who preordered a truck before someone who preordered a Launch Edition.
