Just got my email to start the 8-step process this morning. Completed step 1 and uploaded drivers license. Step 2 (financing) was grayed out - I assume because I told my guide I was paying cash. Step 3 was active, but I had an existing running dialogue with Rivian insurance that I’ll follow up on before completing that. Everything else currently grayed out.

Sept 2019 preorder. R1T, LE, Launch Green, Forest Edge, 20” AT on std 20” wheels, spare, all-weather mats, crossbars, home charger.

Really nice to see another Forest Edge interior order making nice progress. Was contacted by my guide just today and will take any sort of progress as a good sign!

I also have a LE, RB, BM and 22" bright wheels. Have PBA signed and was told by my guide that the 22" bright wheels and scarce and offered me a change which I declined. We'll see how long it takes to find my wheels. Saw that someone with an adventure model received theirs with 22's.

I hadn’t heard there were availability issues with 22 brights. What did they offer you to change to?

Paid in full last Thursday, still waiting for step 8 to open. Hoping to get an email, text, call, or step 8 to suddenly open on my account page (checking 5-6 x a day/hour)...hoping TODAY is the day!

Wair is it!!!!
Got text this afternoon from Brandi at Rivian. My R1T is in Atlanta awaiting pre-delivery inspection, and will be available for pickup in Atlanta tomorrow or Wednesday, but can get home delivery (like better) at my home in Columbus on Thursday the 12th, after 1 PM. Waiting to hear what the estimated time is on Thursday, and will get my 100 point inspection list ready. Hope the deliverer has at least an hour! Anyway, delivery appears near, only one week short of 3 years since my preorder. Hope there are no issues found during inspection .

FWIW the 8th step in my account has never opened, just text message scheduling which is better than checking online several times a day!

Honestly, given the multiple people posting about last-minute "opps" with transportation there's no way I would risk it. I'd fly out and drive it across the whole country if I was given that option once it made it safely to ANY Rivian center.

Delivery scheduled via text, then got confirmation email, stating that had to go to account and confirm online. And THEN, the 8th step opened, and I had to click "continue" to complete the scheduling process...whew!

I recently got an interesting data point on this. My guide was on vacation and I sent him an email and the out of office email had an alternate guide.
I sent the alternate guide an email and set up a call and he paired me up with a R1T, the interesting bit is I have 2 accounts one with an R1T LE and one with an R1T adventure max pack with a Sep 21 reservation date. When he asked me about getting rid of the max pack I realized he was looking at the wrong reservation. He didn’t even ask about whether an adventure that didn’t have a guide assigned should get priority delivery.
It seems once the guide is involved there are no guardrails in the system to prevent them from giving somebody priority. So maybe there are rules but they are not enforced and if a guide makes a mistake, there is no mechanism to catch or prevent it. And with guides being busy, getting sick, taking vacations, etc there are lots of opportunities for mistakes.
This all really messes with me. One of my defining personality traits is I believe in processes and get real anxious when they aren't followed. So if we're all standing in line, and then someone gets called up to the front for no apparent reason that REALLY bothers me. If I'm at Disneyland and they are looking for a pair of riders to fill a car and pull two folks from behind me, I don't care. Or if someone in front of me was in line, left to go the bathroom and I see them try to go back to the end of the line, I will encourage them to take their original spot.

So, Rivian just randomly pulling folks up in the line without doing the rest of us the courtesy of explaining why they are doing it is really annoying me.

So, today I'm looking at Sotheby's auctions and thinking $80k on a Banksy is probably a better long term use of my money than a Rivian :)

I was talking to CS to ask a few questions, one of which was about my build. He said that the config I have is what they are now prioritizing. Which translates to everyone on here will get theirs before mine. ?

R1T LE, Rivian Blue, 22" Bright, BM.

I got anxious today and called my back-up guide as my regular guy is on vacation this week.

Spoke with her and told I'd accept a couple different configs. She made notes andwas very helpful and said she should have better visibility later this week.

Then... she calls me back 10 min later and says they have my config local (except for the spare tire- which they can order)!

Awaiting the paperwork to get this party underway!!

Do you have a guide assigned yet? I have the same config, except Canyon Red instead of Rivian Blue, but I love the RB as well and would gladly switch if it could possibly speed things up...but I can't get anywhere with CS (other than a promise that they would note my config flexibility) and don't have a guide yet to give that information to! I've been going back and forth since that email about prioritization came out a few weeks ago on whether I should just switch colors now or wait and hope I get a guide soon to try and get some more concrete info from.

Unfortunately they don’t let you do that. Either your local SC or local delivery. Fulfilled out of local SC stock or production in normal. At least according to Guide Jay.

Sold it in August thinking my R1T was close.....
I was told by my guide today that "over the weekend" Rivian changed their policy and no longer allow guides to do "on the fly" matching to open vehicle opportunities. My take away is that he has stopped attempting to find me a vehicle other than what just gets created by the system. Now back to waiting for this new website feature that will show an updated delivery window I guess.
