Montreal service center location is confirmed!

Long time participant but first time poster. In this case, I just had to share the excitment. Just found out the location of the Montreal Service Center is official, their OPC license as a car dealer in the province is finally listed!

Looks like Rivian will set up shop in Mont Royal, at 5720 rue Ferrier. From what I could gather from the rental listing, they have ample room inside for service and vehicule storage, but not that much room outside for a big parking lot. Will be interesting to see how they set it up...

OK, just back from the SC (well, future SC!).

It was definitely quiet. Only one pickup was parked there already. I could not see activity inside.

The area inside was fairly empty. See pics below.

As I was going to leave, another vehicle arrived and the person asked me if I was working for Rivian. He said he was a contractor. I forgot to ask him about the deadline for their work, but anyway he might be responsible for only a small part. Will have to go again in a few weeks to see how things are progressing.

BTW the permit in the window mentioned it was emitted on May 9th 2023, and is valid until May 9th 2024.

Those pictures are great news if you look at what that building looked like on Streetview before Rivian got started. Would suggest they really started working on it in May. All the paving is new and that windowed extension wasn’t there either. They also added all that metal cladding and redid the landscaping.

The real question remains, how far along are they inside! Anyway, I see this as a win, early 2024 as a possible opening date is a possibility if they plan the work properly!

BTW, did you see any charging infrastructure in place anywhere? I know they put in new fast chargers at the Toronto location.

I did not see anything related to charging infrastructure. I wonder if it could be at the back of the building. Next time I'll drive around.

This is awesome! I live in VSL. Minutes away from my house. Will drop by regularly to see progress. And I know the area. Been going there for 8 years to service my Teslas!

Just swung by and looks pretty much like the other photos from this week.

I did drive around the back, no charging infrastructure anywhere. The parking is kind of lacking. There’s just a handicap stall in front of the building and the remaining parking spots are on the sides.

Nonetheless, I can’t wait for this site to open!!
