Montreal service center location is confirmed!

That is awesome to read… That said, the Service Center map still doesn’t show even an upcoming location in MTL. And the R1T shop still says they aren’t delivering here when I enter my postal code. All forthcoming I hope.

About Alexa, I wonder. Does this mean it’s not available at all for QC clients or that it’s only available when the car‘s language is set to English? Hope the latter.

OTA 2024.07 hasn’t been released yet, the release notes are from an internal release I believe, so hopefully, we should see changes on the service page in the coming days. At least the intention is there and official!

As far as Alexa goes, I think what they mean is that it is available but only in English for now. I don’t own any other Alexa products so I don’t know if the “generic” Alexa is available in French.

The generic Alexa does have both French and Canadian French options. I assume Rivian has not yet adapted their customized version to French.

At any rate, exciting that Rivians in Quebec are getting more and more tangible!

Mine works fine in Montreal (English) but maybe Quebec delivered trucks will run a different version of the software?

Not sure about Alexa but going to assume there will be an option now to chose a language for the interface.

Anyone else got this message from Rivian today? When I click on the link, there is nothing different O can do on my account so I think this is targeted to people that don’t have price protection from early reservations.

Still, clearly the Montreal SC is close to opening. Hopefully, we’ll be doing some spring driving in a brand new R1S.

Yes, got same email. Pre-price hike order. My account status is still in "Configured", but delivery window (processing estimate) has disappeared.

Got the same email. When I click the link, I get the same page as before just confirming that I’ve got a reservation. Cannot confirm my order any more than before. And since I didn’t have a delivery window, I still don’t see one. Maybe that’ll show up tomorrow and they jumped the gun on the email?

Functionality wise, it seems like this is just the same e-mail they send before previous delivery timeframe updates - just with a new text. Strange Montreal is still not even as "in the works" on the map yet Quebec not mentionned in such comms...

Just chatted with care. They say many members in Quebec have received the email and cannot take action. They apologized and said their systems folks were on the issue and said I should hear back within a day or two. I’ll keep you all posted on what I hear.
