OK so I went on Friday.

The showroom is still not officially opened. Inside the showroom were a Glacier White R1T and a El Cap Granite (or was it Limestone?) R1S.

Outside there were only two other Rivians parked, and from the license plates I suspect some customers maybe. One was a LG R1T with the AT and some running boards (with a Ontario license plate number).

Then looking on the side of the building I could see a garage door opened. And in the distance inside, in the dark, quite a few R1T and R1S but I didn't dare going inside (didn't see anybody).

When I go to the shop with a Montreal postal code, I can only see one Quad and it’s black on black. Is it the same thing for all of you?

Anyone knows if we will get some form of Guide service so they can trawl the complete shop inventory like they seemed to do in the US?

Unsure - I had a US guide in April but I think canadian files were transfered to the canadian team. I think u could ask CS to have a guide reach you. I did and had Remi from the Toronto team reach out to anwser a delivery question.

FWIW I had written, by email, to customer support last week. In French.

I got a reply Friday, in French as well, where they were confirming that the (online) shop was open. Also they were mentioning that I would receive an email Monday with a private link to the shop.

Anybody knows what's different with this 'private link' versus just going to the current web site shop?

I was with my eldest one (he's 20). But you must have caught me on gear guard at some point as I was admiring closely the nice fit and finish of the vehicle!

Is there any indication, on the main screen, when gear guard captures something? Like on Tesla?

First time I capture anyone actually looking at the vehicle in Ottawa people just walk by like it doesn't exist. In Montreal everyone stopped to look inside

Didn't touch the vehicle for sure. Especially knowing it was a vehicle owned by someone.

I polished the worst of it out after adding some clear coat on top.

Agreed I think they should have parked it further back not right at the curb

I was on my bicycle! Decided to do a bit of exercise and anyway with the hellish Montreal traffic in that area it was slightly faster to go by bike from home.

I just called my insurer this morning.

Had to spell R-I-V-I-A-N as the agent was not familiar with the name

I got a quote of $1847+tx. Not too bad as I currently pay $1555+tx for my M3P. So 19% more.
