Thank you for this post moosehead, on December 3rd, I experienced the exact same issues and symptoms that you had. The only difference is my charge port door would open a few inches and I can manually guide it open completely.

I avoided the 1st botched 2023.42.0 update and updated to 2023.42.01 2 days later, drove around for 2 days with no issues. Once I charged to 85% and unplugged the truck, I started experiencing the screen black out in park and the other problems you described. My battery drains about 6 to 7% every 24 hours. Can only unlock with key fob.

Doesn’t seem like Rivian support is aware of this issue and seemed confused at the symptoms. I spent many hours on the phone debugging and resetting. I even uploaded a screenshot of this thread to the support ticket and referenced it on the calls.

They tried to push an OTA update to my R1T, but it would not take. Trying to push from the app also fails. I think the issue is that the truck shows 0 miles and 0% charge from the dash, even when the truck is charged to designated capacity/plugged in and the app shows 85% charge.

The earliest appointment they could get me in at the Costa Mesa CA service center is for next year on Jan 9th. Technical service rep says mobile service is even further out. They have not acknowledged the issue, only telling me the truck needs to be brought into the service center for diagnosis. I’m hoping they could get me scheduled sooner since this seems like an easy fix that has been documented here and something that can be applied in 2 hours.
