Rivian will likely sell you another "I"...but won't cover it under warranty as it's been removed and replied. Since it's after you had PPF installed, I'd be talking to the PPF installer about said replacement and ensuring all the others will stay put.

Seems like this is a little more widespread than I thought.. Is this the right forum to sell some I badging. I have 4 side door Iā€˜s and 2 tailgate I’s sitting on my workbench.
I’d be interested in one of your I’s. Let me know what you want for it.

I fell in love with my R1S the moment I drove it. My cost of driving (compared to my Duramax) is a fraction of my previous costs. The one concern I have always had was, "How long will this thing hold up?" I have a couple small things that make me wonder. Today the glue on my Rivian (3.5 months old) lettering started giving way. My friend said, " Why is the "I" in the Rivian falling off?" My fears are not allayed...
Good! De-badge it..looks better anyway!

It'll be covered under warranty, but as others have mentioned, these things are mounted with 3M double sided VHB (very high bond) tape. You can get a roll at Home Depot or Amazon, trim to size with an X-Acto knife, and you'll be back in business. Don't forget to mark your location on the vehicle and clean - with quick detailer and then alcohol - before sticking back on.

It would be surprising if they are mounted with VHB as opposed to normal trim tape.

VHB is serious stuff. When I was designing trailers, we used VHB to bond the panels on utility trailers.

Loose 'I" on both sides for me. That was on a long list of small fixes needed that is being done in the Normal service center as we speak.

Anyone with loose badges it sounds like the emblem wasn’t rolled over hard or at all after placing in the vehicle. A simple good press on them should do the trick.

Actually, it appears that very little glue was actually applied.

Actually, looking at it, it seems very clear that glue was used, and not much made it onto the letter. A tiny bit at the top and a little bit more at the bottom. May have been trying to save money on glue... :)

Another customer service "F" for Rivian.

No answer on customer service , service center has no time to put on a letter. "Please wait for customer service to contact you..."

Interesting statement. I'm not sure what makes you think I had PPF installed? I have not.

Add me to the list 1 year and 3 months driver side I missing. No ppf, no off roading, literally local driver. I love it but for a car advertised as a beast and it’s off road potential losing letters or badges seems odd. I have owned cars for 40 years some of them 20 years a piece and everyone has badges and nothing ever fell off. And this is marketing for Rivian. I’ve had people come up and tell me how good the badging and brakes look with the yellow. Now they see a misspelled label. I have to pay more attention to them now. Thanks for notice on badging.

I replaced my emblems and found the ā€œIā€ very loosely attached. How would Rivian replace just the ā€œIā€ and get it straight without the entire template kit? I guess someone with a very good eye might do it.

If you’re handy this is a very simple fix. I would not waste time with a service appt unless you have other items to be addressed.
