This compares reasonably well with the Thunderbolt Adventure kitchen. I prefer the top of this design as well as the plugs but the lack of shelves and drawers isn't great. Or at least it isn't clear from the video how they are managing storage on the back side. There isn't even a photo and the lack of a driver side version is a deal breaker for me (I need it to open on the side of my awning.)

The elephant in the room is EVSportline's upcoming Camp Kitchen. Both the Range Industries and Thunderbolt kitchen are ~$4k+freight shipping. The current EVSportline gear tunnel system with tons of drawers and shelves is about $1.6k with an arguably superior dual slide out design. They say they have a camp kitchen version coming up and I don't see the cooking module adding >$1k over the existing triple drawer module. Induction cooktops are cheap. Hard to see how anyone is going to sell these kinds of designs at $4k once the EV Sportline version is on the market at half the price. Worse case, you buy the existing EVSportline version with every option for $1.6k, put a $100 induction cooktop in one of the drawers, and you save $2.3k.

Can we get a solid kitchen for R1S? I know you guys with R1T have gear tunnel?; but wouldn’t R1S kitchen have a bigger market and they can even customize it for other EV SUVs.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't get the SUV pull-out kitchens... there is no way I'd want to be cooking that close to my vehicle with the rear gate in the open position. Depending on wind, it seems it'd be a recipe for grease splatters, stains, odors, etc., to be forever contaminated in the SUV's interior. Maybe a detachable pull-out that would allow the closing of the SUV's rear gate??

How does the 1800w induction cooktop work with the plugs that are only rated to 1500w?

We here at Thunderbolt have a R1S Kitchen. Easily installs into the SUVs speed track and locks in place. Cabinet is super strong so you can load other heavy objects on top. Features t-track on top for securing the load.

Agree with all of your points! It would be nice to see what the RI model has on the rearward side for storage and/or drawers - not sure I'd like having to remove the countertop to access the storage - but I also like this top better than the hinged top from Thunderbolt.

Since EVS's tunnel slide only extends outward about 50% of the length of the tunnel, it will be interesting to see what their prototype kitchen unit looks like. Glad to see some options finally coming to the market. I'll eventually be a buyer of one of these!

Nothing beats the Rivian designed one that we were all strung along with. Sure wish someone would just copy that one!

I'm curious why Range Industries doesn't show the rear side of the kitchen. Are they drawers? Open storage areas? How does the water area work? Surprisingly few details for $4k.

EVSportline has a tow-hitch based system (Yakima EXO System OpenRange Deluxe Camp Kitchen Bundle) that fits any vehicle w/ a 2" tow hitch receiver which is basically a modified Yakima EXO OpenRange System.

See the following for a review and demo of the versatility of the Yakima EXO OpenRange System: Yakima EXO Swing Away Camp Kitchen and Enclosed Cargo Carrier Review:

We need more affordable options. I think all of these are immensely overpriced. I had ordered the thunderbolt option and cancelled two days later, I was surprised they actually charged me 3%, even though nothing was shipped out.

Agreed on the camp kitchen affordability, since it would take a helluva lot of camping meals to get your ROI, but at least the Yakima EXO System in general is a great multi-purpose modular versatile tow-hitch based system for much more than just a camp kitchen and much better cargo solution than roof-based cargo solutions from an efficiency perspective if nothing else.

Personally, I highly recommend Yakima EXO System. See the following for details:
Yakima EXO System is the best swing away camp kitchen solution for my R1S

Basically don’t turn it up to 10/10.

Yeah these are all super cool, but I got this before my R1 and thought it was pretty sweet. I also thought this was expensive before I entered Rivian Land. Works pretty well and it’s a reminder that we can have an affordable kitchen that can be set up anywhere that is convenient (which is often NOT near the vehicle).
