From the release notes:

* Fixed a rare issue that prevented activation of some connected features, such as address sharing, phone key pairing, and Halloween mode on some vehicles.
* Fixed a rare issue seen during Highway Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control on Gen 2 vehicles.

Given the close proximity of this hotfix to the last two updates, I imagine what drove this into an immediate patch were the ADAS fixes. Does anyone have any knowledge of exactly what the issues might have been?

Got this fix waiting to install. Nothing too glaring to me other than halloween fixes.

My ADAS husband a touch on f finicky side the last 2 days. Mostly fine, but a couple of times just randomly shutting off saying that it couldn't see the lane lines, and once it shut off and said "system error"

I'm not sure if it's related, but the last two days I've also had the sonar sensors non functional for the first drive of the day

I also got a “system error” when I’d correct the wheel enough to cancel ADAS. My guess is that’s just a typo error message that comes up every time you override it, and they needed to fix that.

Mine does not give any errors when I override steering. It just deactivates and makes the accompanying deactivation sound

When I got "system error" it was just out of the blue. I was not giving any steering input and it suddenly asked me to take over

Geez, I haven't even received notification for any of the previous versions. No Halloween for me.

If the .31 update has been working without any issues, is there any reason to take this update rather than waiting for the next one? (And can you even skip updates, or must every previous one be installed before moving on to the next one?)

By all discussions to date, updates are mandatory sequential. Some people have reported buying used vehicles, or having vehicles sit for an extended time at Rivian service and were behind on updates, and Rivian manually pushed them one at a time to get caught up.

Got it. I general I don't like to install updates (computers, phones, etc.) when things are working well out of fear that something might get buggy with the new software unless I see a clear benefit or improvement with the update. I wasn't seeing that with this update so was thinking to skip, but I guess that's not going to fly.
Thanks for the info

Edit: Installed last night. Don't notice any changes, so I guess it worked ?

My 120v Outlet settings (auto and timer) will not stay enabled after 2024.39.32 update.

The toggle switches will turn back off after I enabled these. Anyone encounter this issue?

Their regression/ integration testing is so poor. Every release adds new bugs.
