Sounds like we are a small group. Weird that a software update broke hardware.

@seajay - any update on your truck? Mine is still at the service center, it's been there a weekSounds like we are a small group. Weird that a software update broke hardware.
Thanks for the update. So they were able to fix the TCM, did they happen to say what was wrong with it or what they had to do to fix it? I ask cause that's what's wrong with mine. They got a new TCM but the new one seems to be doing the same thing.I ended up driving my truck to Brooklyn. They gave me a loaner. They had it about a week and then drove it back to me and swapped for the loaner. So of the 500 miles on my truck 200 of them are getting it to and from a service appointment, and 100 weren’t put on by me. The folks at Brooklyn service have been very nice and helpful, and To their credit they’ve been attentive and invested at every turn. However on the whole I feel like Rivian has sent out a product that wasn’t ready for market. The suspension alone shouldn’t have made it to retail delivery. Since getting the truck back today I’ve been unable to reconnect my phone and use it as a key and I’m waiting on Rivian tech to investigate the problem OTA. It’s a bummer. While I was in for service I also had tickets on the really noisy suspension and the nonworking charging pad. Both were deemed acceptable with no correction or fix offered. Definitely a love-hate with this machine. It’s so close to being fantastic, yet so far away.
Man sorry to hear that. I am waiting for my R1T. I read these stories and still wonder about actually taking it when I get the chance. I am in PA also and the drive to Brooklyn when, not if there are problems does not seem appealing to me! 3 hours each way. Keep us updated please! My truck is broken again, first my phone was unable to connect with the truck as a key and now I have errors in the motors and suspension. Speed is limited to 51, Front Wheel Drive only, service suspension soon all lit up. Yay.
Also would like to know if Rivian will consider this a safety concern and truck it to Brooklyn for you for free if mobile service can not fix this problem. My truck is broken again, first my phone was unable to connect with the truck as a key and now I have errors in the motors and suspension. Same issue as in the update isn’t finished or no connectivity/gps?Thanks for the update. The same issue, the update wasn't finishing. They told me it was connecting to the satellite early Friday but failed later in the day. Today the truck appears to have finished the update as it is now on the latest release and I can connect to the truck with my phone which is how I'm seeing the information. I should know tomorrow when they give me an update.Same issue as in the update isn’t finished or no connectivity/gps?
Oh okay so yours is still with Rivian? I thought it would be weird if they sent it back without verifying it was actually fixed. Best of luck- let us know what you hear. The same issue, the update wasn't finishing. They told me it was connecting to the satellite early Friday but failed later in the day. Update - I got the Truck back yesterday, and everything is back to normal. The TCM connected over the weekend and updated to the latest release. For good measure, they push the same update again on Monday morning to ensure it would finish and to check the logs to make sure all was good. I'll cross my fingers when it's due for the next update.Oh okay so yours is still with Rivian? I thought it would be weird if they sent it back without verifying it was actually fixed.
