Based on history and rumors, when would we think the next update will release?

maybe for halloween they can do a ghostbusters mode where the exterior speaker makes that old-timey siren sound from the movie and plays the theme music.... though id rather them work on the spooky vampire drain instead TBH.

If they keep to the monthly pattern you’ll probably start seeing rumors next week as employees start leaking the update. First week of nov for public release.

I imagine there will be more nickel and dime stability/reliability updates and nothing groundbreaking in terms of new features; but my guess is of all the higher profile feature requests, the dash cam functionality will be the first to arrive.

If recent releases are the model, the tipoff is usually the release of the phone app in preparation for the firmware update to follow shortly.

As to what ACTUALLY will be released...who knows. Last couple updates have been tons of bug fixes aside from camp mode (2 updates ago) and soft sand mode (3 updates ago?).

Been waiting for that for years from Tesla. Nada. We do get frequent video games that no one will ever use, frequently, however.

Exterior speaker? I don't think Rivian has the same thing as Tesla.

There is a speaker for the pedestrian warning sound. Not sure that it could be repurposed or not though they can at least control volume since they have reduced how loud the warning is in a past OTA.
