Firstly, giving credit where credit is due. Dropped off my R1S and it was repaired the same day.
When I went to pick it up and was waiting while the service advisor was making sure everything was fixed a new customer came in and said he was unable to make an appointment but wanted to drop his vehicle off for repairs. Having waited four months for my appointment I wasn’t sure whether I was happy for him or sad for me. After some back-and-forth about needing to make an appointment, they took his vehicle in for service.

Do you recall what the repair was?

Some things have priority like 12v

They do triage issues. So don’t get too worked up over it. It could’ve been a serious issue. Besides, who told you life is supposed to be fair? They lied.

I was told once on the phone by CS to come to a service center if I ever was feeling un-safe driving due to an issue.

I was having the 12V ‘exit the vehicle now!’ errors - once I understood what was happening, they got me a mobile visit in about a week to replace my 12v batteries.

If you haven’t seen that error, you are in for a treat.

The service centers are a hyper local issue. Some, like mine in Richmond, do a great job. Others there are horror stories. Like everything else on this forum, the bad gets reported and the good largely goes unnoticed.

I recently waited 2 mo for a service appt on 22 R1T G1 at SSF. Got Enterprise res text 3 days in advance. Take in on a Monday was efficient and fast and they got me a rental car upgrade and a free Lyft to nearby Enterprise offering an EV Pu Ford I think ( i did not ask for either). BTW the Audi A5 Turbo I did get....well it aint a QR1T. Not even close and that's all i can say on that.

Very wise under promise on presented timing. I expected 3+ weeks. Was told at least a week. 2 days later on Wednesday got the note its all done come pick it up. Everything on list was fixed and NC! And it was fixed.
  1. Replace original powered TC w V2
  2. Replaced all ting washers and chkd and tightened all half shaft bolts
  3. Std tire pressure
  4. Fixed air filter housing that was not fully sealing after a filter swap.
  5. Recalibrated Easy Exit seat operation
When the survey came I could not say I was "happy" with the timing of the effort, I was very happy:) Can't say much on other SC's or situations but SSF imo has their stuff together and well on way to even better.
