There never was an unlock sound. Only sound of the actuators.

Why is this thread so entertaining?

I'm in this camp - never had an unlock sound (unless you count the anticipatory giggles of both driver and passengers), except for the Halloween sounds in previous years. I liked having both lock and unlock for the fun sounds!

Yep first halloween mode was the best for the lock and unlock sounds. At least they gave us back the owl this year with the added option of the crow. Wassym has confirmed the owl will come back in the update after next as a choice like it is now according to the /Rivian redit. But I also want the wolf back too and I love the idea of different sounds at night vs day. Owl and wolf at night, bird and eagle maybe during the day ?

The last unlock sound I had was last Halloween, which was half the organ music tune.

Our owl sound disappeared this morning. We just took delivery of our R1S two weeks ago and it was part of the menu but now can no longer be found. Seems like Rivian is making OTA changes without telling their user base. If anyone else has found out where this is to change it, please post it here.

Go learn about the Halloween updates and the history, Dude. They are programmed for specific days around the holiday. First was like 4 days long, last year was longer, this was almost a month for some.

They did tell their user base in the release notes. Ran until the 4th, just like they said it would.
