No More Unlock Owl Sound?

Unlock sound? Besides clunk/whir/squeal? Did service lubricate your door handles? Non-seasonally there has never been a deliberate sound.

That’s all mine did. Plenty of noise on unlock but it was all just door handles popping out, cooling louvers opening, relays clicking into place, HVAC spinning up, etc. No purposefully generated sounds for unlocking.

Other than organ music at Halloween last year, the only unlock sound I recall is the door handles presenting themselves and the whirrs of the air pump doing it's thing.

I never had an unlock sound, and I got my truck in June of 2022

Same. Had my R1T since June of 2022 and never heard an unlock sound. Checked with my daughter's young teenage ears and she confirmed never hearing an unlock sound.

We had an unlock sound during the prior Halloween (2022) as well. It was an owl.

Y’all are buzz killers. I am still going to believe the unlock actuator noise is a sound sampled from Battlestar Galactic (the reimagined one).

On Halloween night last year, my truck stopped playing the unlock sound. I put in a ticket and never really heard of a resolution or troubleshooting plan. I finally took my truck into the shop (for other things, not the unlock sound) and the resolution was that at some point Rivian removed the unlock sound. They said none of the vehicles on the lot played the unlock sound anymore.

I'm a little skeptical about this, so I thought I would set up a poll.

I swear there was a noise too. But behold, Here is a video from the very beginning. No unlock noise.
