Oh, What a Deal

Which one of these options did you change to after pricegate to get more value?

I am a cheap ass always looking for a deal and feel like the Pricegate is a cruel experiment designed by the man to mess with me. I find myself wanting to change my config just because it feels like I am getting a "special" discount. After all, what is the point of being special if you don't take advantage of it? Am I the only Hamster on this wheel? or you have started questioning your choices too?

Edit: Off-Road Recovery Kit is $600 on the website not $500. Max pack is added.

I haven’t changed anything, yet. But I had Rivian Blue+Ocean Coast, so if I change it would be to a cheaper combo. I thought about the kitchen, but realistically, I doubt I would get $5k of use out of it. Only thing I’ve recently thought about changing was going to max pack, and I don’t think that changed prices, I think pre and post March 1 it was $10k over the large pack.

I did not update my configuration when the prices were high, but I would have cut anything that didn't impact my ETA if the prices had stayed high prior to actually completing the purchase.

The only change that I have made in response to the price changes is add the crossbars. I always planned to buy the cross bars eventually, but I had been planning to buy it in the gear shop later since it was the same price and I had no immediate use for them.

Now that the gear shop price is higher than the addon price I added them to my configuration.

I just added the all weather mats. Was going to eventually get them as I don’t like the look of the standard mats.

@Max, can you screenshot your off-road recovery kit price? It shows $600 on my final order sheet.

This is pretty much the area I changed, except for me it was the opposite, I removed the mats. After seeing pictures posted in threads here the Rivian all weather mats aren't satisfactory fo me. And paying pretty much the same cost as the eventual weathertech (and other vendors) just to get the Rivian Logo didn't make sense. Also I removed the Off Road package in favor of adding the powered cover, keeps me at the same price as before but feel like the cover would be better used.

You are correct. It is $600 on mine too. I am not sure if it is a mistake on the sheet I recycled or on the website.

Thanks for this. The grid is very helpful. Also, Max Pack should be highlighted as a price increase.

Is the Max pack really a price increase? Its still $10k higher than the large. The standard battery wasn't available to order before.

Which still makes it a $6k increase over the base price.

I think his point is valid that in the context of this thread, you are not getting additional value for switching from Standard to Max pack because you are Pre March 1 reservation holder.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying.

Unfortunately after adding Max pack to survey options, I can not take it off. That is what I get for avoiding thinking at all cost.
