My complaint:
I use roomy exit and entry.

When I get into my R1T in the garage, I want to start opening the door *while I wait* for my seat to move into position.

If I push that button, the garage door will open, *BUT IT ALSO CANCELS MY SEAT MOVING BACK INTO POSITION.*

Similar if I use the steering wheel button while the seat is moving back when I park.

So, I can only really use the button when I'm already outside of the garage when I'm leaving, or on initial return. Otherwise, I either have to sit and wait for my seat to readjust OR just use the touchscreen (which does NOT cancel the seat readjustment).

It's a silly bug, but it's a bug (and it's consistent--happens every time, so it's not just the off-chance my seat doesn't want to go to its place for whatever reason)...
Just curious, where is your garage door button in the garage? Mine have all been next to the man door getting in and out of the garage, I always click to open the door when entering the garage.

That's a fair workflow.

My garage doubles as my gym, and as such we have a MiniSplit in it. So, we try to minimize the time that door is open. I typically open, drive out, close. Open, drive in, close. Instead of leaving the door open for extended periods of time.

First World Problems...I know... But maybe keeping the truck overnight in a nice climate controlled environment long-term will also help with longevity of the battery and electrical systems? Time will tell...

Me too. Kind of annoying that if I do anything while the seat, steering wheel, and vehicle height are moving (into or out of position) it will cancel everything and I have to manually reposition everything. Definitely needs improving.

I have this same issue but I think it is because I was holding the steering wheel control paddle too long. To me, it seems to work best if I just briefly tap it... and wait a few seconds because there is definitely a delayed response that is a bit annoying. Don't know if this helps.
Thank you @Mickey, this works for me using short quick push of the right side switch and yes waiting for delay. Will add back second garage door this weekend and hope for the same. Urtheman.

Great! Glad it helped. I can't explain why but it seems to work..

I have had a similar experience. Worked great for a little while, but now, it is intermittent. If I watch the graphic on the screen, i notice that when it is not working, I do not see feedback on the graphic (it indicates its been pushed). If I push it a few times or sometimes hold it, it will eventually work, although sometimes I end up double pressing it and then my garage closes again.
Exact same for me. its has worked perfectly up until this week.

I have the same "wonkiness". Worked great as soon as update came out and then stopped. I would get the pop-up but pressing the right most wheel button did nothing. I toggled off and then back on the setting to show the one-touch popup and its been working for the last 2 days.
Same here…would also equate it to the same “wonkiness” I have had with the key fob since the last two updates where it’s slow as hell or doesn’t work when I press the button

I've had my R1S (recent VIN 219XX) for under a week. For the garage opener:

1. Center screen. Tap and works 100% of the time.
2. Steering wheel button. Tap and it works maybe 70% of the time (can be a bit annoying), even when parked in front of the garage just to test it out.

Must be a software glitch with the steering wheel button method.

Mine works great in the garage once the door closes it works maybe 10% of the time. Other cars and handheld transmitter work fine. Just made an appt for mobile tech to make a visit and see what we can find. Possibly the module came loose??

I took delivery of my R1S less than a week ago and have zero issues. The one button control actually works from farther away than my clicker used to. Open and close the garage door at least 4 times a day with errands and kid duties.

Try just a quick tap and let it be. You will see the image flicker to confirm the push.

Once I started doing this on the way to the garage or right after pulling out there is sometimes a 1 or 2 second delay and the door starts to move. Been working 100% of the time. Before I was pushing too long or too many times.

I tried your single quick button tap (then wait 2 seconds for garage to open) method and it appears to working 100% today. Thanks for the tip.

I just took delivery on November 10. Delivery staff set up the button push option for our home garage. I get the popup on the driver screen, but pushing the right-most steering wheel button does nothing.

Picard, forgive my ignorance and feel free to laugh at me. But I don't know what you meant when you wrote, "I toggled off and then back on . . . " What does "toggle off and then back on" mean?

I agree. I found I was holding it too long. A brief tap does it. I also get good results it’ll I do short double taps. And yes, there is a delay so patience is rewarded on this feature. I use it all the time now that I got the rhythm!
