PAAK not locking

I have had my R1S for 2 years with no issues. But now when i walk away my vehicle doesn't lock about 50% of the time. I did get a new iphone 16 Pro recently. Any ideas? Maybe delete the phone and add it back? I keep the fob in the car and have it set to not impact lock/unlock.

In theory this shouldn't be a problem - but I'd start with changing this. Wrap it in tinfoil - or better yet just take it out and see if this changes the behavior at all

I keep it in the car to be able to give to a valet or when i'm surfing i'll lock the car and put the fob above a tire. Lot's of good uses

Check your cars settings. I was using my phone for like a year no issues till I added “home” location in navigation. For some odd reason lock at home was disabled by default.

Fair enough - I'd say the key card is better suited for this as it doesn't interfere with locking, it's easier to hide, and in the off chance locking doesn't work, someone can't just hop in and drive off without having to find the hidden key first.

All that said if you'd rather go the key fob route, I'd start by temporarily removing it to see if that's the issue. If so then you can chase that down (toggling settings, rebooting, etc). Settings aren't always respected the way we'd hope

I've had the same problem in my 2025 Gen 2 R1S. Roughly 30%-50% of the time it doesn't lock when I walk away. I've had the truck since November and it worked great (nearly 100% locking and unlocking) until the last update, which supposedly "fixed" the PAAK. Hopefully it improved for someone, but for me it was a huge step back.

I'm an Android user (Samsung S20+), and I don't have a fob. I have the prox card, but I carry it in my wallet and don't leave it in the car. It really seems to me that something got screwed up with the last firmware update.

I've tried removing and re-adding the phone key, no improvement.

When I upgraded to IPhone 16, I had problems with some platforms. My Google cameras in my security system would not show up. I had to have them all reset by ADT. It happened with a couple of other things, too. But, I could reset them. Go through the process of setting up the automatic shut down or even delete the app then reload it. That should take care of it.
