Anyone tried making inlay decals with a cricut?
they even make sheets of glow in the dark vinyl that seem like a good repeatable medium
though not sure how fine they can do the edges...

So my pen arrived...haven't used something like this before...shake the pen and then press down until paint appears. The original poster's image looks _great_ - must have a steady hand. Any tricks to applying that I should know about?

Also having both sides of the key with the same rubber feel is dumb. Even if you've memorized the button positions you can't feel in your pocket if you are touching the front or back. I might paint the backside with a hard enamel or something. Even an aluminum pop on piece could work.

Well, there were also a lot of suggestions in the previous thread which was started a year before this present one: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/key-fob-how-i-remember-lock-vs-unlock.8975/

As I said over there, I personally used Wite-Out™ instead of paint, because I had it lying around in the junk drawer. Lay it on thick then after it dries you can clean up the spill-over with a rubber eraser. I've only had to touch up my FOB once in the past year.

My wife was constantly complaing about not being able to see what button she needed to press; I also found it quite annoying at times that i had to find a light source to make sure i was hitting the right button.

Voila, game-changer.

Nicely done. My son had a Posca marker in silver so I tried that. Used alcohol to clean before and after drying to get the marks on everything but the depressed spots. Then did the raised bar under unlock. He thinks I should do the 2x impression but I don’t really think it’s necessary.

Mine has been in and out of my pocket a lot over the last several months and definitely needs some touch-up work. But still far more usable then just black on black
