Has anyone else had their phone randomly deleted as a key? In my app it appears know as "Ready for Setup." I have an s23+ and I have had zero problems for the last 1.5 years until today (just updated car to the latest software this morning).
This happened to my wife a couple months ago while we were out. She used the Rivian app to unlock her car and was able, in the school parking lot, able to set her phone up again. I don't think your experience was related to the update or we would have seen many more posts here.
I had this happen to me a couple weeks ago before the most recent update. Tried to re-enable it and it would t let me. Left it alone for a half hour and then magically it was working again.
My A-51 Android has done this. Once the lock was fine but the key to start was not recognized. I think resetting the phone first, then reset the Rivian, but after removing the phone in the key section next to your name before resetting the Rivian is the fix. Such can be done easily and fairly fast.
As I have said before, if I were to rob a bank, I would not use a Rivian as a getaway vehicle.
Had this happen to me. Pixel 8 Pro. I forget the exact date but it was right around the time of the latest update. Was mildly concerned when the app said something about "Now press okay on your Rivian settings screen", and no dialog box popped up in the Riv. Did infotainment reset and tried again and it re-paired without issue.
This happened to me yesterday. Latest update has made some things wonky like this as well as Alexa not responding for a day and Tidal album covers disappearing for a day. They then reappear. For my phone, I did have to delete and re-add it again. It has been random and a bit annoying but not a huge deal to me, as I like most of the updates.
