I'm getting low battery messages from my phone, a Pixel 7 Pro, halfway through the day. I'm referring to the phone battery. 53% of the battery is being used by the rivian app. This is something new, anybody else seeing it?

Haven’t seen this on iPhone 15 Pro with the latest app update. I also didn’t see it with the prior app versions.

Everyone tries rebooting the phone.

How has the cellular signal strength been for the phone? Poor signal seems to be bad for battery draw.

OP is looking at the battery usage by app breakdown, and the Rivian app is coming out way ahead of everything else. That implies it's not an issue with cell signal but rather that the Rivian app is running in the background constantly.

Try turning off background updates, notifications, and location access to the app one by one and see which one results in a significant change, if any. Severe battery drain is usually due to a bug that you could report with customer support.

I'm on an S24 Ultra as well. Just checked and battery use by the Rivian app is 0.3% so it is not affecting them all...

I have a Pixel 7 (not pro). I use ~6% a day on the Rivian App with less than 1 minute of screen time, and 2+ hours of background.

Not nothing, but not 50+% either.

Rivian App on Android is terrible, leads to ridiculous battery drain. It will kill my battery within 2-3 hours, and I have to go "force stop" the app when I see it happen. It's running in the background doing who knows what, and in the battery tab it shows that Rivian used 30-40% of the power, and the rest is due to it stopping the phone from going to sleep. I tried turning off "background" support for the app, but it still radomly happens, so if anyone knows how to fix it, please let me know.

To follow-up on my own post:
-Google Pixel 7
-Rebooted Pixel 7, Rivian displays
-Uninstalled Rivian app on Pixel 7, reinstalled, same problem
-This battery drain problem is new and at or about the same time the paak stopped being reliable (often had to reboot Pixel 7) to get paak to work
