Our R1T sits between 50% and 70% most of the time, but we start long trips at between 90% and 95% depending on where we're going. However, whenever I try to plan a trip, it always assumes the starting charge is the last known condition of the battery. Is there a way to specify a starting charge for the purposes of planning? There is a desired arrival range setting, but no starting setting.

I use ABRP for trip planning. It allows you to set your starting battery % and several other options (extra weight, weather, wheel/tire type, etc.)

Yes, but only via the app trip planner. Put in a destination, select it, then on the map screen select "Plan" This will show your vehicle location and its current state of charge etc. Tap on the miles shown (not the drop down arrow beside it) it will bring up a bettery slider to allow you to change the soc upon departure from 1% to 100%

You can also select the top right corner to bring up trip preferences, like avoid sites that require a NACS adapter, etc, but also change drive modes to better plan charging along the route

In the app, tap the upper right and select departing charge level. I do this all the time so I can plan.

ABRP is better, though, as others have stated.

In the mobile app, open the trip planner, tap the current range, move the slider to your desired battery starting value.

Thanks all for the pointer to click on the range. Exactly what I wanted. I'm aware of ABRP and have used it.
