Plastic Mold on Underside

Hi all,

Went off-roading over the weekend, and the plastic mold on the underside of the body (passenger side) came loose.

It clearly got hit in the adventures, and I'm wondering if others have had this happen. What they did? Is there a piece to replace, or did folks leave it until putting on running boards/slides?

I'm leaving the smashed plastic until rock sliders are installed. I also have a smashed lower door trim piece that needs replacing. I have replaced the front plastic bumper cover, but I won't replace that again ($$$).

Funny enough we hit the plastic plate in the front, and I wasn’t planning to replace. Sounds like the right choice.

As for the rock sliders, what’d you get?

Still debating which rock sliders to purchase. None of the current offerings are what I'm looking for...I am 6'10" and hate the idea of my truck having an access step (even the GOAT Fabrication sliders without the top plate seem to be a weak argument that it isn't a "step" design).

I wish Rivian would sell the sliders I saw on their test vehicle years ago.

I just got rock sliders .. I didn’t want them, but my wife is short and it’s always a big step for her to climb in .. so I got these:

They seem to be super solid to me .. I stand / step on them .. and they replaced several pieces of the under body plastic pieces with the sliders ..

Greetings. I have a Gen 2 R1S on which I recently installed a set of Weistec powder coated rock sliders. Plusses: EXTREMELY sturdy, looks like a factory install, easy installation, great customer service. Minus: Pricey

Adam at GOAT says these are in the works, but I haven't had the chance to drop my truck off at his place for him to verify everything. I'll try to get that done sometime in the near future. He initially didn't think there would be enough hardcore guys to justify it, but he's had enough interest over time now.

I put a bunch of glue on mine to stiffen the clips up and put them back. Right now wheels are my limiting factor off-road. Eventually I'll probably fabricate some rocker protection.

I've built several sets of sliders and skid plates between having a bender and welders.
