Anyone else having this issue. BTW, I'm only a buck seventy on a bad day. Happening on driver and passenger side.

It's supposed to be like that.

As others have said, it is supposed to be like that. I thought the same thing when I took delivery, but depending on what position you adjust the seat, the plastic will line up. It's an odd design, but allows for movement of the two pieces relative to each other when making seat adjustments.

Adjust the seat bottom angle and Watch it chsnge. Better then just a big open gsp.
Sure, I get the concept, but my Ridgeline had the exact same adjustments and didn't have plastic trim/gaps like this from taking advantage of said adjustments. It just seems like yet another problem that's been solved.

I guess they could’ve put the overlap the other direction or something. Otherwise it’s just where the moving parts are in the design of the seat.

That part of the seat trim is hinged... put the thigh bolster (front of the seat) down on the seat control and it will line up. It's supposed to do that.

Just noticed this today. I thought it was broken and filled out a ticket. This is dumb. Never had this issue with any of my other cars.

Update: Just read about this on a few other threads and they refer to this video:
