LOVE the Riv. LOVE IT!. But I cannot get over the way the front end looks. Hate the lights. So much so that I park it so that when I walk up to the vehicle I approach it from the back.

Is this feeling going to pass?

Strange post. I don't know about you but I spend most of my time in my R1T and not in front of it. That said, I like the look of the front end. I find it hard to believe you would have purchased one to begin with if you hate it as much as you claim to. Good luck with the decision!

Yeah I guess that's a valid point. I really enjoy it. It's just an amazing machine.

Aesthetics are subjective and I was not fond of the stadium lights when I first saw the prototype. Once I saw them on the road I quickly warmed up to them. Just out of curiosity, what do you object to about them? The stadium-shaped DRL/turn signal portion, the 4 headlight elements, the light bar, or something else?

I know that some people object to the stadium DRL/turn signals as looking too cartoonish or cute. I can understand that reaction in the context of many vehicles today having front end lighting which tries to look aggressive or mean. I’m not a fan of the aggressive/mean look so to me it’s a positive that the Rivian lighting looks friendly and approachable.

Looks are subjective but if you don't like them, as others have said, why buy in the first place?

I like the uniqueness of the front end and it's easy to spot a Rivian on the road.

Maybe try the light bar and side light covers from Abstract Ocean? The Rivian light bar mask gives a little tilt of the hat to Hummer and Range Rover look. And maybe smoke mask around headlights so they’re not giving you stink eye on the approach? Maybe a quick $50 fix, considering you love everything else???

The front end looks cartoonish. The lights are probably the best functioning I have experienced. They are so bright and effective. and yeah you can definitely spot a Rivian when approaching on the road.

And you are all correct. "If you don't like it why did you buy it".

Look, the truck is amazing. The only problems i have is no CarPlay and the oval stadium shaped configuration. The light bar is sharp.

Whether you like the headlights or not, they define the Rivian brand. It's not easy to have your brand stand out in the automotive crowd, but the Rivian does.

Even though they are very different in real life, the front ends of a Hummer and a Jeep Grand Cherokee are surprisingly similar and don't really stand out.

I am not a fan of the BayMax looking facia either. While I may not like the front end much, its unique and different, which I like.

The way I rationalized and am okay with the look of Rivian is by picking the least contrasting combination of lights and the front end - Glacier White. The last white vehicle I owned was 1978 VW Scirocco when I was a kid. I am not a white vehicle fan. Generally, I prefer silver, charcoal or red tones. Rivian has all of those but aside from LA Silver, the contrast was too much for me. As for LA Silver, it reminded me of LV Raiders color combo and already have a silver vehicle currently so decided against that.

So for me, it was the monochromatic-like that made it okay. Definitely don't need to highlight the Rivian name, logo, or light bar by accenting it or adding to it.

So my recommendation is - get over it or get rid of it. Don't be wishy-washy about it. It's just a vehicle.

I have the same build and live it. They lights can be perceived as cartoonish but so is the new bronco… my wife is a modern stylist and loves the look - says style is cutting edge so I figure I am just old and going with it. And I like it now!

I was never a fan of the headlights on the Rivian, but I purchased two Rivians despite it.
They have grown on me a bit, especially the way the lights turn on when unlocking the vehicle.
