Prior to the .46 update I was having almost no problems (except one occasional rattle) with my truck. Even the PAK worked. Since the update I've reset the vehicle 6 times. The reoccurring issues are:
1. Cabin thermostat doesn't control the temp. Heater just keeps pumping heat past the 71 degree setting. Also started making a noise. On a 35 mile trip in 30 degree temp was 79 degrees in the cabin upon arrival (according to app).
2. Phantom wiper wipe. No reason; just driving down the road and wipe.
3. PAK works worse now than before. Have re set up phones 3 times.
4. After an overnight sleep I get in the truck and it is on the "Begin your Electric Adventure" screen.
5. Center screen response has gone from average to bad. Drove 7 miles today before FM radio came on.

I would trade the very good hands free driving system back to have these go back to pre update version.

Anybody else with new issues?

Get ready for all the fan boys to tell you ā€œjust reboot or hard restart and all will be wellā€ or ā€œI’ve never had any issues with my truck, I don’t know what your issue is boomer.ā€

This particular release seems bad, I’ve been loosing more battery (~1.4kW/day) while parked and the PAK is a lot worse. Usually they follow these up with a quick fix šŸ¤žI didn’t even get the hands free šŸ™ƒ

Not a fan boy like @Lord Leroy would like to characterize me as, but I really would recommend a vehicle restart. It’s important to remember, we’re driving really big and smart computers. Computers sometimes need to reboot, especially after updates.

Doesn’t the update include a reboot? You shouldn’t have to do it multiple times.

1.4kw per day is pretty normal for a gen 1. What were you seeing previously?

I believe it does, but honestly…sometimes that reboot happens too close to the actual update. Again…think of computers but with a whole lot more peripherals and actions happening every millisecond

I've typically had weird issues like that after an update and second the suggestion to try a full reboot.

I honestly don’t understand why there appears to be so much problem variance among vehicles. This cannot be anything but lack of quality control.

My 23 Gen1 has been pretty solid. I had two service visits, one for moisture in the rear tail light and a recent second for a rough suspension. The suspension was something I lived with for a while and decided to include a check during my normal 7500k service. I cannot remember the last time I rebooted anything.

I had been seeing ~.5kW per day, was out of town for 8 days and lost 10% SOC was why I noticed. Had seen this much in the past, but had been much better until this update.

Not sure other than the obvious Gen1/2 differences, I have had mine over 3yrs and minimal issues as well. I track this one as an annoyance, have had several over the time I’ve had it and they usually correct it šŸ˜‰

Did you read my post. I've rebooted 6 times. Love Rivian; on my 4th R1T. This is first update since July 1, 2002 (when I got my first truck VIN 6900) that THIS many issues resulted.

How is this your FOURTH R1T?

I missed the part of you saying you’ve done a reset. Have those been software resets, or a full vehicle restart?

Full vehicle reboots. I drive 3-4,000 miles a month. Would still be on my 3rd truck, but they called me 9/28/2025 and wanted me trade with only 30,000 on my first Tri. Made a VERY high offer so I took it. Had to close 9/30 so they could make numbers. Live 40 miles from Normal.
