Powered Tonneau Cover email: have you changed your config?

So: seems the powered Tonneau cover option is still active at the Rivian site.

After the email, did people go and change from powered to manual or no cover?

I changed to manual, then changed back to powered. I am hoping (like with the price increase) Rivian rethinks this a bit.

Not to keep making the wonky cover, but to discontinue it now, but still offer a fix for us that might take delivery between now and the fix.

It’s a weird spot to be in: earlier deliveries will have a powered cover that will be fixed.
Later customers will get a more robust cover that hopefully works well.

But us that get delivery scheduled between yesterday’s cut off and the future fix will be the only R1Ts that can’t get a powered tonneau. And that’s a time when being rare is not a bonus.

I reconfirmed with Chat that this group will not have an update path, but I’m thinking that might be either wrong or reevaluated.

Yes. True. I’m thinking of this as a bump in the road, but it could be longer.

And based on needed ramp up, my guess is at least 15k will be built this way. Maybe 30k.
