Proximity garage door not working since software update

I just installed the last update and since then the steering wheel garage door opener proximity detection is not longer working. I turned it off and then reestablished location and it still doesn’t pop up near my home. Anybody else having this issue?

This has happened to me in the past (two updates ago?) Go to your garage door, turn off the location, and then turn it back on.

Same. Stopped after the update. I tried deleting the location and re-adding but it just says “Location Unknown”.

I tried turning the location base setting on and off, even took out my garage door and reinstalled the garage, but still no luck. However, after resetting the entertainment system, it started working again.
If you don’t know to reset the entertainment system, you press and hold both of the outside buttons on the steering wheel until it starts beeping and it’ll prompt you that it will reset.

Toggling the ‘show location based prompt’ off and on didn’t work for me after this update. I had to do a software reset - hold the outer buttons - and that worked.

Happens a few times. Happened to me this time. It took a day and it came back.

Same problem here, no proximity garage door opener after 2024.39 vehicle update.

I have:

1) Performed an infotainment reset
2) Performed a hard reset
3) Toggled "show location based prompt" setting on and off (a few times)
4) Deleted my home opener and re-installed
5) Considered finding a goat to sacrifice...

Feels like maybe this update was a bit rushed to meet the Halloween deadline...

I had the opposite problem, mine went away on the last update, came back on this one

Wow. My order that worked was as follows but I did not test other ways.

toggled proximity on and off
Reset location
Removed and reinstalled garage
Reset infotainment system. (Worked after this)

My garage was having the same issue as well. Perform soft reset. Toggle geolocation on and off. Delete and readd garage and did not fix anything. It got to the point when the garage was deleted a genetic Garage icon would pop up randomly throughout my drive. I decided to add the garage back in to try and fix the generic icon pop-up but it did not. All of sudden this morning all is working as it should and I have made multiple trips back home and appears to and fixed itself.

Having the same issue. Have tried everything mentioned and still not fixed. Seemed better after a full system reset but then the issue came back.

I did another infotainment reset and so far it seems to have fixed it. ?

All the location based stuff has been messed up for me since the update that introduced Apple Music. For a while the vehicle wouldn't recognize when I was home or not and proximity locking didn't work. Took a couple updates for that to be resolved.

On my vehicle it worked on the house I wasn't at when I did the update.

But, it didn't work on the house that I was at when I did the update.

I didn't try any reboots/resets. I've had issues with it in the past where it didn't work correctly so I've always kept the icon at the top so I just use that when it doesn't work.
