I like the "Lock only" option but why is it only "at home"? If I don't want proximity unlock for security or other reasons, I would definitely not want it outside my home. Secondly Rivian should allow more than one "home".
How does Rivian know what your home is? Is it what you set in your Nav system as home? We set the entrance to our community as the Nav home, so I guess that wouldn’t work with this setting.

Set it to your driveway/garage/address
Yes agree, proximity is just right now. In fact I've turned proximity unlock at home back on again.

I now walk past the truck with my phone in my pocket at home and if I give it about a five foot buffer zone around the truck, it doesn't unlock (although the lights react with a quick blink). Before, if I was within 20 feet it might unlock although it might not if I walked right to it.

I prefer this by far. Perfect.

I am less concerned with vampire drain than most admittedly.

I echo this. It unlocks 1 second before I reach for the handle, opposed to 2 seconds after on the last version
2 seconds? What the heck? I'm out there waiting 30+ seconds, and it'll pretty much not work unless I unlock my phone (just updated last night so I haven't tested the new one.....also on iphone 15pro which this last update specifically targeted so looking forward to it actually working

it allows more than one home via the garage opener, maybe set that up first, then see if it catches it.

I'm on an iphone 13 and it worked quite well before, though occasionally I had to tap the phone to wake it and get the car to respond. Now it seems to be ready faster, equal or better than our Model Y.

But I really like the lock only at home. I often pass by the driveway when walking my dogs and it bothered me to have the car repeatedly unlock and lock, especially late at night with the headlights (and organ music last month!). So I turned off auto-lock at home, but then kept forgetting to lock the car! With the new update it always locks automatically and I pull out my phone to unlock when at home - problem solved.

i'm glad for the improvement compared to recent updates, but it still isn't anywhere near as good as it was early on. i thinks its a good happy medium

Definitely not flawless. The better responsiveness comes at the cost of the truck failing to go to sleep and when it does, constantly wakes up again. This happens in my garage and at my office. Even with the truck set to only lock at home, it's still constantly waking up. The previous release did not do this.

Can you run a vampire drain test since you have the update?

It's no better for me on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I still have to stare at the door handle for a good 3-5 seconds. It usually opens around the time I'm starting to pull the phone out of my pocket in a first-world-problems huff.

Interesting. I knew you could set up garage openers at different locations but didn't know that the other locations would be also treated as "home"

I'm not 100% sure if they are seen as "home" but I know you can tell the Rivian "garage 3" for example, is a totally different GPS coordinate.

Nothing change for me. It locks after a few seconds when I’m working on the tailgate (while open) but takes a long time to lock when I walk away from the rear.
Same. Locks on me when I walk to the front to plug it in (arg), unlocks when I walk past the driver's door, but then locks again before I can drop the tailgate (arg).

It certainly makes one appreciate automakers that have figured this piece out.

Rivian has not. I suspect it's a sensor issue, because software/firmware fiddling really isn't fixing it.

I was playing with the proximity access setting today. What does this mean? Proximity setting is ON but the two key (iphone and key fob) are OFF. So how can proximity setting be ON then?
