Update: DT rescheduled me to Monday when the manager will be there. Apparently, he is more familiar with Rivians. The adventure continues.

I don’t enjoy seeing posts like the one from the OP, but unfortunately, this kind of thing has happened far too often to Rivian owners. I use Discount Tire occasionally for rotations on my truck, but I handle everything myself on my wife’s R1S—so I definitely understand the frustration within the community.

My America's Tire has some red custom rubber pucks that mount on the top of their jacks. Many Rivians in this area.

Never question the engineering of the nipples or the female receptacle body insertion points.

Update: I had running boards installed last year and the installer removed the plastic cover (my call). After the inital issue with the DT visit, I thought this may be an issue so I explained this to the manager today and he said it wasn't an issue. He showed me the pucks he had and they looked new and with the nipples. They assured me that they had an experinced crew. After a few minutes, I got the car back with the tyres rotated.

When they called my car the DT person that worked on the car told me that they didnt need the pucks and jacked the car up on all four corners using their usual method. I went back in and asked the manager if that was the case and he said yes but not to worry as everything was ok.

I'm not planning to return.

If they jacked from beefiest part of lower control arms, closer towards chassis, that is perfectly fine.

Yes, that too, and require less max lift height from jack. Better, actually. Forces are triangulated and better distributed.
