(Test using All Purpose - Not Conserve)

Poll for Quad-Motor Vehicle Efficiency at 60 MPH in 60°F

This poll aims to gather real-world efficiency data for quad-motor electric vehicles under consistent conditions. The goal is to measure efficiency (in miles per kWh [MPK]) while cruising at 60 MPH on flat terrain at approximately 60°F (no wind). To ensure accurate and comparable results, participants should follow a simple testing procedure. First, using All Purpose - NOT CONSERVE mode, reset Trip B (or a similar trip meter) once the vehicle reaches a steady 60 MPH, drive on a flat road for at least 10 miles, maintaining the speed 60 mph confirmed via GPS. During the test, observe the highest and lowest efficiency readings and determine the closest representative value. Submit this value as your result. This data will help build a better understanding of real-world energy consumption across different quad-motor vehicles.

Tire pressure as close to 49 psi (cold) as possible.

-if not using the 20” OEM Pirelli, make a comment with Rims/Tires being used.

The poll will close mid-May, so those interested will hopefully get some decent weather to run the test.

2.3 MPK - 20” OEM rims with the Geolandar CV 4S All Weather tires…hope to see some 2.4s and 2.5s

You might need higher numbers than 2.5 MPK.

I think I dropped from 2.2 to 2.1 with a roof box. but again a 5% efficiency drop for roofbox is pretty darn good.

You need a higher efficiency number. I can see nearly 3 mi/kwh if I don’t see a headwind or hill with Michelins ltx AS2 on my 20s at 60 mph in good weather.

Living in a hilly and windy place this is difficult to show, but it’s consistent in the flat parts of my commute.
I need to go over 1k’ fro sea level every day, leave it in all purpose, drive 75+, and still average 2.48.

Do you mean LTX M/S 2?
Also, are you running 275/65r20 or 275/60r20. If it's 65 then that's amazing :)

I live 25 minutes/miles south of San Francisco Airport. Between here and there, I drive Interstate 280. Elevation ranges from 380' at home up to 700', down to sea level, all while doing 65-70.

Doesn't matter the day, time, or temp....ain't no way I'm getting better than 1.95 on a Gen 1 Quad 20ATs.

Given the terrain and other variables, this poll is....

My efficiency on 280 sucks too! Somehow 101 effiency is better. I attribute it to the wide-open road and lack of surrounding building, not enough cars/buildings to block the wind.

One time I followed a semi going 65 for 10 minutes and I was averaging close to 3.0 (yes QM on 20"AT), so wind resistance is a huge factor.

Test using All Purpose, not conserve…

Just ran another test at 60 F (no wind):
Ave. AP: 2.49 MPK
Ave. C: 2.94 MPK
AP range 311 miles
C range 367 miles
