Does anyone know where the head unit is located and where the FM antenna lead plugs in?

So there is just a bunch of unused space where the glovebox could be.
The ICE computer is much deeper on the frunk side of the beam.

I wish Sandy showed removing of each piece. It looks like if the drive you write the video to get worn out and fail, it will be a pain to get to and replace. Unless you can get to it from frunk.

My understanding is that with TeslaCam, the footage is written to your USB so when repeated write attempts result in USB failing, you just get another USB. Rivian does not write to removable drive. I assume the drive is in the unit bellow. So if you do a lot of Gear Guard recording, you may have to replace the drive inside at some point. So if my assumption is correct, you either have to get to this unit and open it up or have to have Rivian replace the whole thing.

Ah, yes, in context your sentence makes sense, now. Without the context I thought voice-to-text or autocorrect had buggered it up, lol.

I would guess that the storage is soldered on, and Rivian won't support replacing it (just the whole unit). I'm hoping they've used flash chips with a high endurance so we get good longevity. IIRC, Tesla was using eMMC (or similar) and the endurance was quite poor.

Love these shots. They are so good Rivian may ask for their removal. I am curious what do you guys think these components are?

I am guessing 3 may be the tank for air compressor. 2 looks like a motor for something but I am not sure what? is 1 tailgate release button?

Except for the lack of blue anodized color, that looks a lot like an ARB compressor. I wonder how hard it would be to swap it out for an ARB twin compressor. I'm also thinking that installing a larger air tank would be an interesting mod. Then you can tap that air tank for sustained air tool use.

I think it would require a good sized tank but do not think the duty cycle for the onboard compressor could handle running most air tools outside maybe a small brad nailer. Here are some standard airflow requirements for basic air tools

;)

I am more concerned about pyro fuse that seems like much more difficult to get to. I have no idea how exactly it is triggered. Now I am afraid if I hit a speed bump the wrong way and that thing blows, it may have to be towed at least 150 miles away for disassembly. I don't know how to make sure it does not explode by accident, well, you know what I mean ;)
