I wonder if it would be less work to take the bumper off yourself (or maybe the fender liner?) and tighten the connector from the backside. If it saved me a 6-hour round trip visit I'd be trying to DIY.

You might be able to access it by taking the left front wheel off and then the wheel well liner. The only thing that I can see might be a problem is if the fastener is missing or broken.

It’s disappointing for sure but, with due respect, you are being a giant pain in the ass and just incessantly complaining and throwing up roadblocks (to CS trying to help you) which is not going to get you faster or better service. In your chat they are reasonably trying to help you and you can’t get out of your own way.
Manage your expectations and embrace that you are an early adopter in a new company. This is something you should have educated yourself on and prepared yourself for before purchasing your ~90k vehicle. Your ignorance and lack of flexibility is going to keep you frustrated longer
I understand where you’re coming from, and I agree in principle. However, my life is incredibly busy, and taking the car back to the service center would be quite a hassle, especially without the provision of at least a loaner. I truly appreciate all the feedback and suggestions, and it’s heartwarming to see such a dedicated group of followers, customers, and fans. I’m just hoping for a solution that can cater to both our needs. As I said earlier, I finished the conversation with gratitude toward the CS person on the chat.
As for the solutions on how to DIY, I have my own line of expertise but to take a car apart and put it back together had never been one of them. I hope this would mean a mobile service person would be able to fix it.

I have some thoughts on your chat. I don't really see the point in telling them several times that you're unhappy about this. Everyone is unhappy when their car breaks so that's more or less the default. It seems like your chat was outside of CS hours. I'm not sure how much more they could do for you at the point you were talking to them, and they did talk about how they were going to handle it moving forward so you had some next steps.

In my experience it's more effective to start off by focusing on the positive or focus on tackling the problem collaboratively. Instead of the direct "you need to fix this piece of shit and I'm unhappy about it" start off with an approach that's more "here is the problem and I hope you can help me fix it". Talk to them as if they were a buddy of yours and they came over to look at your truck and help you figure it out. You know they are responsible to fix your truck. THEY know they are responsible to fix your truck. The goal is to get them to WANT to fix your truck as opposed to HAVE to fix your truck.

The way I see it you can always get demanding or nasty later if things aren't working out, so you're better off starting polite or even overly polite. Most people don't like doing that because without realizing it their ego gets in the way. The fact that they believe themselves to be in the right, and in this case you are in the right that your truck shouldn't be broken, and that belief doesn't allow them to approach the situation the way I'm suggesting. Where I differ is my goal is simply to get the problem solved in the best way possible. The person on CS chat didn't break your truck, and being demanding with them might make you feel better but it makes them feel worse.

When you make them feel worse they are going to do the minimum their job requires to get your situation resolved. When you are nice and polite about it that person is much more likely to empathize with you. If you are able to get them to do that they will most likely go beyond the minimum to see that your situation is resolved. The best part is 90% of the people deal with a negative situation the way you just did, so it's easy to stand out.

Anyways, it sucks that your truck has this issue but I'm sure they will get it sorted out. Personally on this one I probably would have waited until something else was broken too just to make my time more worth it. I've had a trim piece sticking up on my rear window for probably 6 months at this point and I'm finally putting in a ticket because I need my tire size changed as well.
Sounds frustrating all around. But It does give me a heads up on checking my Rivian if/when I can finally order it.

In your chat around 5:03 - 5:04PM they said, “THIS IS NOT MOBILE CAPAPBLE” misspelling the word “capable”.
