With my 21s on all purpose / standard / soft, I would glide over bumps and potholes when mine was working. A little bit of roll on curves though. But for the past 3 weeks it’s been pretty stiff and harsh over bumps regardless of the setting.

Interesting thread... I was just messing with these settings recently to see the difference, but also didn't notice any difference in settings. I am curious to see more on this thread as others comment. I will have to try the different drive modes as well.
Thanks OP. I was curious and tried the 3 different modes and no difference. At least that I could tell. I have a ticket in for window trim so I requested that the tech ride with me and see if he can see the same thing. I'm going to wait for that before I fiddle with anything more.

I was on the highway today in conserve low, pretty big difference in my vehicle between soft and moderate.

Conserve/low/moderate way nicer than conserve/low/soft.

I typically drive all purpose/standard/moderate so have not really tested soft in all purpose.

After the 2024.27.01 update, I can still confirm no difference between soft and firm. Wondering how this can be possible... Hopefully service can figure it out.

Just took delivery (day 2) of my Rivian R1S Dual motor Max pack with 22 inch wheels.. I am driving on factory settings. I had a 2023 Model 3 and am disappointed on the bumpy ride compared to the Model Y. In addition I have a 2005 GX470 with 220K miles and a 2010 Sequoia Platinum with 215K - both ride smoother than the R1S. I did read from another forum member that when he swapped the Pirellis with Michelins - the ride quality significantly improved. Im still sticking to it in hopes that the ride eventually settles

I have a Gen2 riding on 22s also. I generally don’t notice much difference among setting (and wish there was more) but recently discovered a huge difference on cobblestones. Soft setting WAY better there.

I like a firm ride so it hasn’t bothered me, but interesting issue.

Update: mobile tech came by and said all was good. I still don't feel a difference in all purpose with soft to hard. However, there is a big difference in sports mode. I'm confused at this point and will wait and see.

I definitely feel the differences in both my Gen 1 T and S on ride settings. Seems weird you guys aren't feeling that in gen 2.

I also have all 3 wheel sizes for gen 1. The 22's are worst ride by far. I'll likely sell them but do like the look.

I used to have a huge difference between ride feel settings, now barely any difference. Service says a damper needs to be replaced.

Just adding my experience here - I took delivery three weeks ago of a Gen2 R1S (vin 55XXX). In my testing, I feel no difference when changing the ride mode.

Same with me, noticed it since the suspension update some time back.

First day with my 2024 quad R1S (20" wheels) today, and I found this thread from a search because I also feel little to no difference between soft and firm in All Purpose ? All bumps seem really harsh. I haven't tried any resets yet.
