It's a hardwired 120V 48A OpenEVSE on a 60A breaker. I did it as an experiment when I noticed the truck was able to still be set to 32A when I had plugged into a TT-30 through an adapter. It's out of spec for J1772 but I see no reason that the vehicle can't do it besides "it's not spec".
That would be on OpenEVSE hardwired to 240V/48A. You can always lower the amperage either from the vehicle or from the EVSE (if it allows), but you are still connected to 240V. I can lower my Model S charge rate all the way down to 5A if I want to trickle charge off of excess solar generation, but I am still connected to 240V.

No, it's 120V. I wired it. One hot leg, neutral, ground. That's it.

Nice way to start a fire ... good luck with that!

Start a fire? Why would 120V start a fire when the wiring is properly sized for the load? It doesn't get any warmer than 240V.

Do you think I used 12ga wiring or something?

RIVI-ONN?
That must be what waterboarding feels like. As I contemplated stopping the video after the first Rivi-On to avoid unnecessary pain, I though let’s see for how long I can take this in case I am in a situation in which I have to withstand torture again. I had no idea when he was going hit me in the face with another Rivi-On. It is an EV not a freakin French salad dressing or bottled water.

I doubt he would just pull a pronunciation like that out of his ……hat. I have a feeling he pissed off an employee and she brought the R1S to him before recording and said, here is your Rivi-On R1S sir. Enjoy. That probably was the dudes last recording for Edmunds.

I mean, I get if you've only seen the word in writing and are saying it for the first time. I've done that for plenty of words. But you've been contacted by staff at the company to come attend this event, presumably have had many of those employees talk about the company during the event, talk about the vehicles, talk about the brand, heard other journalists do the same - and still somehow come away mispronouncing the name. How?

Thank you! My pups get into my 4Runner just fine but due to the liftgate mechanism, it looks like it adds another 3-4 inches of height.
Here are the numbers, ground to top of the tailgate in down position, 20 inch off road, high suspension setting was 35“. 22 inch all season in low the height is 32 3/4”

There is also enough room behind the second row with third row folded. It is 50.5 inches from the back of the second row to the tailgate. In my Jeep GC we need to drop on of the back seats to have enough room for a 65 and 75 lb pup, we will be able to keep second row up in the R1S.

If you do drop the second row seats there is this gap in the floor between 1 and 2 inches that would need to be covered if pups were back there so they do not catch a leg in the gap. Not an issue with second row up.

I actually really enjoyed reading through the photo descriptions - there are design insights there that I had never seen explicitly called out by other journalists before.

He was getting a lotta flac but I quite enjoyed his dry humor and yes amazing photos.
