Did I hear him correctly (at around 1:49) that Rivian is now offering Xpel film as a factory option on both the R1T and R1S??? Full vehicle for $4,500?? Surprised that there has been no news about this officially from any other channel ...

I got confirmation from CS after he had mentioned it in the video

Interesting - if the pricing holds, definitely seems like a steal based on what folks have been paying up and down the West coast (7 - 10k). Not to mention there will be some sort of factory warranty associated with it as well.

Based on the seemingly low quality installs in the high wear areas, not sure I would trust a full install.

Today I learned which reviewers drink Evian water, and which don't. Not too much beyond that.
So now we know who speaks French 😜

My R1T will charge at 5.75kW on 120V.
That is not possible on a 120V outlet which is typically on a 15A breaker. You could probably get a little better on a 20A breaker, but not 5.75kW

You're talking about the limitation of the other hardware, not the truck. I am talking about the truck.

What are the specs of the outlet, breaker, charger you are using. Everything I've ever seen is that 120V outlets are limited to 1.2kW (using a 15A breaker). 20A is less common

It's a hardwired 120V 48A OpenEVSE on a 60A breaker. I did it as an experiment when I noticed the truck was able to still be set to 32A when I had plugged into a TT-30 through an adapter. It's out of spec for J1772 but I see no reason that the vehicle can't do it besides "it's not spec".
