Graphite wheels to me look the best.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was their inspiration for the color. It's even called "Dune Beige". It's my favorite FJ40 color AND my favorite Rivian color. That was the 90s
We all have our likes and dislikes. The world would be pretty boring otherwise.Graphite wheels to me look the best.
Per our guide, they didn't make 500 of each. It was more of a 60:40 deal with higher numbers of the R1S. Of course, that may not have been accurate.I got a text from Rivian yesterday trying to entice me. The numbers still don’t work for me. And only R1S left anyway. Riviantrackr says they are pushing deals on them hard. Strange the T sold faster.
Honda is missing a big opportunity not bringing back the Element. The idea behind platform and packaging is perfect for EVSingle year color for the Element vs Dune.![]()
And you get the expensive crossbars plus traction boards, for roughly same cost of a less powerful performance dual max. A pretty good value and why it intrigued me for a moment. I wonder how much the Dune wheels weigh. We all have our likes and dislikes. The world would be pretty boring otherwise.
The color-matched wheels are what caught my eye first and I suspect the designer created the look with the color-matched wheels in mind. Graphite was probably offered for people who like a more typical look and/or live in areas where non-dune colored dirt and dust would make the color-matched wheels a nightmare to maintain.
We spend a lot of time in the desert driving in areas where the dirt and dust are a near perfect match and it would've been better for us if Rivian had gone with a white-out package instead of a dark-out package for the California Dune. The cost would’ve gone way up, though, with so many parts unique to California Dune.
I would’ve really liked a white roof but the dynamic roof does a better job reflecting heat and light than I expected.

As it is, the only things which are new on the Dune are the sandstone-colored upholstery, the sandstone-colored Chilewich mats, the floor material which is WAY easier to keep clean, the exterior paint, and the wheels (which were also used on the Rivians in The Long Way Home)
Edit: another post mangled by the Rivian Forum editor.
I agree, completely.Honda is missing a big opportunity not bringing back the Element. The idea behind platform and packaging is perfect for EV adoption. KIA has seized opportunity with EV2, but much less utilitarian.
Congrats! If I were ready to upgrade from my Gen1, that'd be the build I'd choose, and I'd have preferred color-matched wheels. They might need a bit more cleaning, but I think the truck looks better with the dune wheels.Looks like I'm officially joining the club. I grabbed one of the last R1T Dunes. I wanted the graphite wheels, but the only option was the color matched wheels.
And not too soon, they are showing sold out.

We drive off-road in California deserts a lot. In this environment, the color-matched wheels are low maintenance. The black tires and trim are another story!Congrats!
