I’m also in PDX and got the configuration confirmation email on Tuesday, 12/27 along with a VIN and guide (Kelleen). My guide also said my R1T is being loaded for transport so it will be “some weeks.” I’ll post here if I hear anything sooner. Anyone in Oregon able to advise on their experience for delivery time once their VIN is assigned?
Sounds like we may have the same guide (if you meant Kellee!) Had a good intro call with her today. Says my build is on the train now making it's way to the PDX service center, and then to go through a few days in QA.

So by my count we have 3 PDX deliveries coming at different steps; one at the factory still, one boarding the train, and one already on the train. I'll be interested to see which actually gets delivered first though!:CWL:

I figured it might be helpful (or at least something to read while everyone waits for delivery :)) for me to add in a summary of what questions and answers I got in my intro guide call:

  • You do not need to rush your 8 steps, it doesn't speed anything up. They just need to be completed before delivery.
    • Don't stress the insurance, financing, and payment steps
    • Wait until you have a delivery date set to get insurance setup. It will need to have a start date as proof
  • Most of the info your lender needs for financing will be in your Purchase Agreement
  • No ETA on Car Play or Android Auto.
    • Mentioned there may to be something in the agreement with Amazon/Alexa integration. Speculation that after a certain timeframe (contract?) is past with Amazon these could be added. All speculation/not confirmed by any means
  • The Rivian wallcharger is waterproof rated for outdoor use.
    • Mentioned that some customers end up building enclosures or coverage for weather/sun around their charger outside
  • PDX Specific Stuff:
    • The temp service site *IS* doing first mile drives.
      • My guide is reaching out to get one scheduled for me
    • Trains from Normal ship directly to PDX and make way to the temp service site
    • PDX area will get home delivery
    • PDX temp service site and mobile service should be able to cover nearly all repairs until site is fully built out (no ETA on that just yet)
      • Said there should be no need to travel to the Bellevue SC at all for PDX folks

Went to the dump in NW PDX yesterday (in my SUV -ugh) and decided to take the quick trip around to the tSC off St. Helens. Lots of trucks in both lots and a few Ss as well. I used all my telekinetic power to will one of the 2 Limestone Ts to come home with me. Hasn’t worked yet… Trying to stay patient but I’m thinking deliveries will stop for a while because of holidays and “retooling”. I REALLY hope my truck will still have a full set of features when it does come.

One note; I hadn’t seen the R1S irl yet and I was struck that it looks smaller in person, especially from the back. I thought the cargo space was more square/vertical (like a LR) but it tapers in at the top more like a Cube or xB. Interesting.

Congrats to you 3 in process!

I was surprised to get access to the shop on 12/21 as I hadn’t even been tracking that as a thing. Last I saw they were projecting sometime July-September 2023 for the R1T I ordered.

A couple weeks back the dealer I bought my old truck from called with a great deal to buy it back. After I did, I started to realize how many things I used a truck for and was really glad to have the option of getting my R1T early.

So I picked one out of the shop on 12/21 that was mostly what I ordered and hurried through the first 6 steps. It was maddening watching trucks disappear as I reconsidered what I wanted.

The first time I reached out to my guide was on 12/28 and at that time she said it was in transit to my local DC. I assume that’s Richmond for folks in Northern VA?

I have a question out to my guide, but does anyone know if you can get the manual tonneau after? The one option I had to skip that I really wanted was a tonneau and I naively thought there would be aftermarket options.

The charger should be here this week so hopefully I’ll be able to take delivery soon.

Similar situation for me. I asked the guide to add the manual tonneau and its now in my configuration. The tonneau will be shipped when it’s available.

Seems like a quiet week, was the 4-5 day shutdown this week?

Curious about this as well, haven't been getting text/email responses from my guide this week....

Similar situation for me. Randomly got shop access on 12/21 and found an exact match minus the manual tonneau cover. Mine arrived at the Richmond SC on the 27th (of course I was out of town all week) and I was able to pick it up on the 30th and drive it back to nova.

I'm hoping at some point the manual tonneau covers will show up in the gear shop at the pre price hike pricing. Otherwise I'll be holding out for an aftermarket option.

Has anyone received any updates on the cover? I tried to ask my guide about it and he answered other questions, but completely ignored that one ?

My guide said I could order it through the gear shop when available. I asked if she could just add it to my order which she did. Honestly I’m afraid to do the math of what it cost, but it’s already paid for. Tomorrow morning is delivery day!

Soooo, at this point I guess we expect nothing until the 27th at least?

Shall we start a betting pool for when batches of Limestone get produced? Or other colors?

Cue the sad trombone…

8 steps opened up yesterday for me. Vin assigned 16xxx range. 6 steps done. Initial guide call tomorrow. I've been told that the truck is built and waiting for rail transport. Looks like I might not get it before the end of the year, unless trains are running fast.
5 years ago I bought a build to order Ford F350 Super Duty. Very useful truck but the train ride from Kentucky to Spokane, WA took 4 weeks! This was way before the covid excuses and there were no train shortages, delays, etc. That is just how long it took.

I was told by guide that the manual covers will start shipping beginning of the year. Not sure whether that means Jan or later.

I have some doubts since we haven’t seen or heard anything about it since they announced it a few months ago.

Turned the frown upside down today - 8 steps opened for VIN 188** PN/2023 as well.
