I like that they were able to compare all dual motor trims from each company.

Why did they include the CT in a "real world" test?

The CT is for folks who think they will be shot at regularly, don't care to see behind them when going in reverse, and want to use their truck as a boat on "not too choppy seas".

How did they botch the range so bad on their test? I can easily do 300 miles at 70mph in my quad with all-terrains and large battery pack.

How did they only manage 260 miles with a max pack dual motor with street tires?

The Motor Trend test makes me feel good about Opal. This is especially true considering that the didn't even us a quad motor R1T.

the comparison was with the dual motor CT and Lightning. When they compare with the cyberbeast, i'm sure they'll use a quad, but the quad is in real life not much faster than the PDM, so i think it'll lose quite badly, in the same way that the PDM did so well in this case.

I would like to see them do a comparo of large EV SUVs next.. I'm sure the R1S will dominate that as well!

I thought it was interesting the Max Pack R1T achieved 200 miles while towing:

Yea makes no sense...200 miles towing and 260 miles without towing? First result is terrible, second result is great

Model X vs EV9 vs R1S. That would be an interesting one, and one i'm surprised hasn't happened yet.

I don't know? Southern California traffic? Lots of hurry up and wait.

Edmunds drives in SoCal , 70mph max and got 390 miles in a max pack lol. Strikes me as really weird discrepancy .

Makes sense. R1T dual motor in towing has rear motor enabled. While in highway cruising it doesn’t. The rear motor on the dual max pack is more efficient than others
