I am 5 days into ownership of a lightly used 2024 R1T. With electrical work going on at home I've used a local tesla supercharger and both times the adapter has been challenging... today I could not disconnect my vehicle from the charger: the charger was stuck in the adapter, and the adapter was stuck in the charge port. I called Rivian customer service and was told to press the adapter release button on top while pulling hard downwards. No luck. Then instructed to do a reset (left button beside left scroll wheel on steering wheel and hazard light button). No luck. Next I was instructed to pull the manual release from under trim in frunk, which solved the problem BUT I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD LIKELY NOT BE ABLE TO LEVEL 3 CHARGE UNTIL SERVICE APPOINTMENT set up next week. No one else seems to say that pulling the manual release has implications for level 3 charging. Anyone know about this supposed side effect of pulling the manual release?Y'all know there's a manual release to unlock the plug, right? It's right there in the manual ...
