That is still the original demo that is doing the national tour correct?
I believe so. This was in Austin during the Electrify Expo.

The manufacturers setup a test drive on the race track that day. I tried the Hummer EV and I was glad I did because I realized I much rather prefer the handling and nimbleness that is felt when driving a Rivian over Hummer EV.

We got to see the R2 at the Electrify Expo in Denver last year, but unfortunately, were not allowed to sit in it. Still, from the outside, I really liked what I saw. As new empty nesters, I think the R2 will be a better fit for us. And, sit down for this, it has a glove compartment! I'm sold.
Seriously, the new features, the greatly reduced processor and wiring complexity, the price, and the size of this car (not so big that maneuvering in tight lots is challenging, yet a ton of storage space) are going to be a huge hit with a lot of people. And yet, even with an R2 on order, I still have my eye on that R3X. :D

Where was this event held?

Do you know when and where the R2 will be on display next?
This event was at Electrify Expo in Austin around the same time they brought the R3X at the Austin Spaces location.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.
Here is the long overdue update.

Thanks for your patience.

Unfortunately the front seats are not going to be able to fold forward on the production model, but is there any way you could tell us how much room there is in the back with the rear seats folded down? For example, would a 6’ tall person be able to comfortably lie down in the back? Thanks.

Looks like they added some buttons on the driver side handle for lock/unlock doors. Beats reaching over to the main display.

When it came through Denver the back hatch remained closed, but IMO a 6' tall person might have to go diagonally with the 2nd row down. I'm 6'1" so I am always looking at that as well.

Both the R2 and R3 Rivians have my attention. We now drive a 2022 M3 SR LFP and a 2023 MY LR AWD. The R2 looks kinda MY in size, so I guess I'll have to wait for the R3 as this next vehicle would replace the M3.

Nice looking ride in any case.

When announced they weren't fold down, they did say a 6' person should be able to fit. Personally, I think it depends on how you sleep. If you sleep fetal position, probably less of an issue lol.
