Can anyone else comment on the seat comfort of R2 vs. R1? It's the one thing that keeps nagging me after my test drive. My R1 is very comfortable always. As I said in my original post, I could not get the R2 seats adjusted to feel the same as the R1.
IMO they were about the same, maybe the R2 felt slightly shorter on the cushion but if anything, found them slightly softer than the R1. Adjustability felt similar.

I thought the same. I could not get comfortable in the R2 seats.
Have never had a problem with comfort in either of my R1T's.

Softer than our R1. Most likely due to less piping/stitching. Same great material and should hold up well to daily wear and tear.

We had driven my R1T 3 hours to test drive R2. I didn't notice any particular difference in the R2 seats compared to R1. We were early and first demo of the day so got to spend about 45 minutes in it. I am 6'2" 215lbs. The most notable difference, as noted elsewhere, is the ventilated seats work much better that either our R1T or R1S.

My wife's 2023 R1S seats are noticeably softer than my OG LE R1T. Even with four years & 63k miles on the truck and only 35k on the S. I remember thinking the R2 demo was more like hers than mine.

While I think a lot of us are replacing our R1 vehicles with an R2, I do not think these were meant to be cross shopped, per se.

Especially as they just announced the new pricing with the end of the Standard and you can't touch one for under 80k for starters and the Quad at $120k.

I arrived early today for my R2 demo drive. The R2 demo vehicle was out on a drive, so I was offered a demo in the R1S Tri-Motor. This was my first time driving a R1S, I did previously demo drive a R1T at the R2 block party. I did get to demo a R2 today. When driving the R2 I did experience what you are talking about. I'm 6'1" and I could feel the rear seat cushion against my back, below my shoulders. I tried adjusting the seat, I also adjusted the the lumbar support. Nothing changed the way the seat felt on my back. I think that after time the seat foams will get broken-in from use and not feel so different. I would still buy a R2.
