I'd appreciate a TLDR of any key things to note regarding running the RAM 2363s - just want to double-check I haven't missed anything, with all the fragmented discussion across so many threads. I'm picking up a set of them with 275/60/R20s ATs, coming from 21s. A couple main questions I had:
  • Fitment - any concerns with rubbing in low/lowest? I've heard mixed things about clearance. Anything to note regarding the tire sticking out from the wheel well or clearance with the brake calipers?
  • Load rating - seems to be adequate, anything concerning that I might have missed?
  • Diameter - should be the same as the 21s, so the speedometer should be identically accurate? Would it be possible to use one of the 21s as a full-sized spare?
  • Anything particularly troublesome about the tire change process? I'm a complete novice when it comes to replacing a wheel (never done it before), so I'm not sure what to expect. The process seems to require a fair bit of equipment - not sure how I'd handle it on the trail if I got a flat.
Any comments/advice would be much appreciated.

I heard a rub once when teetering on the lf/rr in a ditch but I didn't see evidence afterwards. No other clearance issues. I think they look better than the 22s. A bit of work prepping old, scratched dodge wheels but very much worth it.
My speedo was off by 1 mph from the factory and now it's off by about 2%+1. I may have selected a slightly shorter tire.

@LL75 you're too kind.

@Phoenix864 check out the thread I did on it following information from @SeaGeo
https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/affordable-winter-wheels-setup-ram-2363.18320/

Fitment - No rubbing for me the few times in low, I only go lowest to load heavy things into the bed. With ATs, really no reason for low/lowest. Notes about sticking out: yes, they do slightly, and I love the wider stance. They clear calipers just fine, otherwise people couldn't use them.

Load rating - Meets the minimums, no concerns.

Diameter - 275/60R20 is the same as 21" diameter so they make great spares, especially with how cheap they are as people dump them. Only concern about using a 21" as a spare with 2363s is REMEMBER to remove the hub centric ring!

What @Riviot said is spot on! But one thing that is also a surprise is the weight of 20's with off road tires in general (Rivians Setup Or Ram) is not light so remember to lift correctly so you aren't on the floor with a bad back lol. Its heavy, not unknown just a bit of a surprise. Don't skip upper body day hahaha.

They will definitely rub with 275/65/20 in low. I got rid of them pretty quickly and went to the MSW Type 52 which has stock offset and no rub.

Appreciate all the responses - my main concern was the possibility of something going wrong, with the wheel not being intended for the vehicle. It sounds like that shouldn't be a problem (though avoiding low/lowest might be a good idea). Was hoping to keep access to low for long roadtrip miles where I'll want to maximize efficiency, but it's not a dealbreaker.

As far as mounting them, I'm guessing tire shops won't touch it as the wheels aren't OEM spec? I've never done a wheel swap at home, so it sounds like I have a fair amount of equipment to pick up.

Regarding low, no fear with 275/60R20. I towed in low/stiff, never bottomed out or rubbed.

Shops don't care about the wheels, just tires. If you have 116 load index or higher, you should be fine.

Honestly, I've gotten more compliments on my satin black 2363s than questions. Even Rivian techs like them; I had OEM wheels back on during last mobile service and the tech who comes out my way asked what happened to the other wheels. He was happy to see my stack of wheels in the corner of the garage and again said "those wheels looked great."

Like Riviot said, tires shop do not care about wheels. As long as it fits in the car, then they will mount it. There are so many aftermarket wheels out there, it is almost impossible for them to keep track of the load rating for each.

The one suggestion I will add is to add some antiseize between the hubcentric ring and rivian hub. Be care full not to overapply, I found a little goes a long way. Made a big different for me when I had to swap out the wheels in the spring as the rings came off very easily.

Also not sure you have to purchase much to swap out wheels. The most critical things was a good jack that can handle the weight. If you are CostCo or Sam's member, either should have no issues torquing your wheels for you. Heck not even sure they'll care if you are a member or not.
