I’ve been wondering if they are moving away from the “coming soon” pins on the map. Now they’re down to just a five, but we’ve seen evidence of so many permitted or very close to completion. Maybe the eternal s00n on some of these has been so bad that they decided to surprise us from here on.

The coming soon map hasn't been updated in a while, and they definitely seem to have changed to just surprising us. I both dislike and appreciate the approach. It's nice to have an idea of where to expect something "soon", but it never had a lot of predictability anyway. Is "soon" 3 months? 6 months?

My 2 cents says they let go the person(s) who was updating the 'coming soon' pins on the map...

Agreed. I think Rivian has heavily prioritized headcount around the core aspects of getting to positive gross margin. Ancillary efforts like RAN and the gear shop still get some funding, but not nearly with the same priority. Which there is a business logic to.

I do hope that opening up RAN will bring in enough additional revenue to at least accelerate the RAN buildout a bit.

Tesla Model S
Dallas, TX is now online according to Rivian.com

We checked out the new Dallas RivIan chargers over the weekend. It took us awhile to find them so hopefully the following directions will help you locate the chargers when you are in town. Google Maps does a good job showing approximately where the chargers are located on the map but doesn’t explain the exact floor or directions to get to them. The overall Park Lane development is a little difficult to navigate. Long story short, the chargers are located at the Shops at Park Lane on the first floor (one floor up) in the structured parking garage near the American Girl store. We had a full charge so didn‘t test them out but everything seemed online and functional (although I believe the chargers weren’t coming up on my NAV). Below are some pics. If you know Dallas pre-Tesla there weren’t really any good and reliable Level 3 chargers near Dallas city center so these will be a welcome addition.

PS - For those traveling from Houston, a full charge on AT tires, conserve and large battery gen 1 RIS regularly gets me to Dallas no problem with 40-50 miles left in the tank. Now I have no more range anxiety upon arrival with this charger and pushing this car. Love my Rivian and the company.

There is a reason for that.

Am I looking at this right? How do we charge our deliver side front charging vehicle? Back in or take the cord from the one on the left when you pull in?

You park nose forward and use the stall on your left.
