I'm seeing a good number of mi/kWh in the Best Long-Drive Efficiency leaderboard that are in the 3.3+ range, even if you ignore those with net elevation loss. This is encouraging to me because it represents some reasonable expectations for long-term driving, particularly on road trips. I have an ID.4, and my long-term efficiency is 3.4, which represents a mix of about 50% city / 50% highway averaged across winter and summer. On highways, I typically average 65 mph, which includes traffic, mountains, and a tendency to drive slowly. On the R2, If I can get 3.4 miles/kWh average and 3.2 on highways, I would be happy. I wonder if this is a realistic expectation?

Once at cruising speeds, I'm seeing 3.3 at 70 and up to 4.2 at 65 mph in warm weather. Efficiency with shorter trips is what seems to be making the numbers lower on RR. A 10 minute commute for me always seems to be 2.4-2.6.

Thanks. Are your commutes at a constant speed? Generally, we get higher efficiency in the city, which includes both street to street and commuting on crowded freeways.

My commute is about 2-3 minutes to get out of the neighborhood and 8 miles on the highway at about 65-75. To me, the hvac on R2 is the biggest energy drain...I pre-cool in the morning so that could be contributing to my lower number for first 15 minutes.

Are you plugged in while pre-cooling? Not sure if R2 has this capability, but ID4 can pre-cool and set charging to finish by a specific time, so it calculates the time needed to initiate the charge. In that way, your pre-cooling can occur while it is charging.

My previous Mach-E had a departure time setting by which car would prepare the cabin temperature at the set value, it's independent of charging schedule and could be set different for each day of the week. I don't see anything like that in R2, there is a charging scheduling and that's it.
